Has a good reason ever been provided for Konami not to make a truly international game? Not the same game from country to country but one game with one worldwide license for the music. They could make and assemble the game from Japan, then export it to whomever wants it/is willing to pay for importing. Goodness knows the Japanese versions of these games don't stay in Japan as it is.
Doesn't Andamiro do something like this already? Pump It Up can be bought from Andamiro in Korea for use... everywhere. I don't think it matters what country you live in.

Yes but the problem is american gaming is really heading towards sitting on the couch like a lazy bugger and yelling through a mic attached to the side of your face sort of gaming. Arcades aren't as popular as they were because of this change in gaming, but also because the owners either sucked or rode the wave then buggered off, ie never replaced their games with new ones because it didn't make sense business wise because it appeared to be the same exact game.
Over here, it's the same sort of thing. Arcades are now either $1 or $2 a game, (although yifans has sitdown cabs at 40c a pop but that's like bubble bobble, SF 2, etc) They don't have good atmospheres or locations and there just isn't the audience anymore.
also lol posting on ZIV at 3am.

The Wii has been selling with consistency for five years straight and Microsoft cannot keep up with Kinect demand, so I don't think so. When I was last in America, the arcade games getting the most attention were DDR & DDR-like games and air hockey tables (for some reason). Oh and that damned Stacker game. For a while fighting and racing games were popular but are now only played by dedicated groups.
I think that arcades in general lost momentum as a whole in the US, but they're still making money and bringing in new people. Especially arcades attached to mini-golf parks, movie theaters, theme parks, malls, etc. The standalone "FLYNN'S" did pretty much all but die out in America in favor of home gaming consoles and high end computers. At some point game rooms reached a saturation point and after a drop things are now evening out.
I think that since around 2000 video games have been slowly starting to encourage more and more physical activity, and that always shows up as a defense against soccer moms blaming video games as the reason their kids are fat and lazy. Which I think is very good. Games are more fun when they make you Get Up N Move.
There's no lack of interest in arcade games or DDR in America... I just wonder if all the trouble Konami goes through to port it to other countries and have it be the same but not quite as the original released in Japan is even necessary.

I'm personally pretty against the motion sensitivity gaming gimmick. I'm not really for the browncore shooter genre either though. I don't really like the popular modern gaming trends at all at the moment. =P

Also, has anyone noticed that the menu timer is a lot shorter now? (I'm probably late on this, too) Results screen went from 15 to 10 seconds and selection screen went from 80 to 60 seconds. (At least from SN2's)

Don't know if I should post this here, but if any UK player is planning on going to Wolverhampton X2 in the near future, don't go until after next week because it's gone. I learned this the hard way today >.<
It's apparently 'on display in Birmingham' until the end of next week.

That's because Andamiro violates their music licensing agreements and doesn't care where the game ends up. They may have licensed a song for use, but only in certain countries. They go around this and just distribute it wherever which is why some songs randomly disappear after only a few games and we never see the artist again.

I am so happy right now. I think I'm going to PFC all of them on video with a footcam and through it all together in one video.
Version D is going to be a little hard.
Is that the only unlocks today?

The orange dot on the rankings is PFC, right? How the heck did 513 do that and not get 990k on TAG Difficult?

perfects are worth half as much as Marvelous in courses.
Its hard just to AA courses for many people and I very very rarely can get 990,xxx on a course.
