What version of the theme are you using exactly? That doesn’t seem clear.

Im using the latest version of the theme r.6.2 on stepmania 5.0.12

I thought that the 5.1 version of stepmania was the problem but it does not work on the version im using either

Like I said earlier, we have not yet released a version of the theme with group.ini support. If you download the master branch from GitHub, it does have it, but no release, including r6.2, does. r6.2 was developed by adding bugfixes from the r7 development branch back into r6.1 so it did not get most new features that will be in r7.

Oh ok I got it. The theme i downloaded in the release post does not have group.ini support but i went to the github and downloaded the master branch it worked. I feel silly

There's a feature in a SM5 theme named "CyberiaStyle 7" that shows jackets on the side. It would be nice if that feature could be implemented with group.ini. Here's a demo of it:



Or maybe use DDR 2010 style for jacket support?

I don't want the theme to show jackets on the side. For that matter, that really has nothing to do at all with group.ini, as jackets are something you can add to a .ssc file officially. I'll consider adding jackets as a fallback for songs that don't have banners, though.

Is there any way to give banners and color code groups you sorted when using SongManager PreferredSongs.txt?

Not sure if this has been brought up in the 30+ pages, but i'm having an issue when using the 3 button configuration with my cab. When using that configuration, i can't scroll through menu options as i can when using the default standard theme. When i hit start, instead of going down to the next option it, you know, starts. Because of this i can't scroll through the menus without making sure a keyboard is setup at the same time.

We’ll look into that, and I hope to have a fix today if possible.

EDIT: Sorry it took so long, but I finally looked into it. I determined it was the result of a quirk in the way ScreenPlayerOptions works, and the upcoming r7 release (due pretty soon now I think) will have a workaround for it. By this time it's also available in the GitHub master version of the theme.

Why is the evaluation screen messed up? Even older builds looked better.

We redid it recently. What’s wrong with it in particular?

EDIT: Oops. Final eval is indeed pretty messed up. We will fix it.

Compared to a build from 12/18/2017, sounds and announcer don't show up, texts and graphics are missing, fonts don't look as cool as before.



At least we have the "Full Combo!" animation and circle fixed.
The "It's a New Record!" thing is present on the new build, but it was not animated.
I'm using Stepmania 5.0.12

Most of those aren't bugs, they're just design changes. We will get the announcer and sounds working again, as well as the mod icons, but if you don't like the design changes we aren't reverting them. Sorry.

Alright cool, at least can we have the song title displayed? Or make an option to set it on/off (for those who prefer)?

panda, if that's the problem where the wrong half of the cutin shows up in vs mode, we know about it and will fix it.

Ok one last thing about the eval screen, the translucent frame is not properly scaled on 4:3.

Yeah it looked off right there. Also where do i even find that cut-in pack? That wasn't in the SNCharacters.zip file.
