I'm just watching this video.
Oh! PARANOiA and TRIP MACHINE seires are back (but I expected to see PARANOiA -HADES- and TRIP MACHINE PhoeniX in this version).
Anyway, the songlist looks good.. there are great BEMANI Crossovers, great licenses (like Trickster and Polyrythm)
wait! Where is "will"?!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the steps for A Geisha's Dream, they look like fun. But it suffers from SEVERE copy-paste syndrome, and that's kind of a turn off for me. I still think the song is awesome though.

the Songlist is very impressive, specially in new songs (blue).
the old songs is PARANOiA vs TRIP MACHINE battle... sure looks good.

Personally I would have preferred Trip Machine Climax than Survivor. And I did a faceplam when Maximizer STILL does not have
its Oni chart from DDR Universe.
With this release, the Konami Originals win, but narrowly.
Somehow it feels like DDRMAX3 (the stepmania song pack) wherein only nc really are the only Konami artists.
But that doesn't mean I hate nc. Come to think of it, there are no new licensed songs from them for this mix (they are commissioned artists I've read).

Hmmmmm...maybe if DDR Hottest Party 1 JP CS has it, then they probably thought you could make the edits there or something......although that somehow feels off (to me at least).

After listening to "A Geisha's Dream" lots of times, now I can finally feel Naoki in the song.

...and if they are, then wtf mate^^??
Wait! Could that "program" that Konami says you need to have in order to make edits might also be the program that will be distributed everywhere for all regions to use (if it comes down to it)?

I hope Konami understand what expect the fans for a Bemani game... maybe more BEMANI ARTIST ???.... atleast hope Stillwind learn... stop the boring commissioned artists (Tommy Sunshine, Bill Hammel, Jena Rose) ...they can keep DKC Crew, Darwin and Or-If-Is if they want, because their songs are really neat, by far the unique new KO in the game is Saber Wing by TAG (maybe Flourish... but since sonic-coll is a commissioned artist I dunno)... where's Osamu Migitera, dj TAKA, dj Yoshitaka, SOTA FUJIMORI songs???... I still have faith in DDR X2.

well this was a bit of a disappointment. i didn't expect much anyway with the CS version coming out so soon after the AC, but I guess this mix just doesn't do it for me. The KOs are pretty lackluster with an exception of a few. I don't really care if the game lacks Bemani artists or not.
The boss songs are still awesome though, and on the bounce is definitely a song worthy of a better Bemani game.
It's nice that they cut down on the crossovers and are making an effort to bring us some new stuff from themselves, i'm really excited to see Blue Rain's chart. I'm not sure how Ubertreffen is gonna work though.
And I guess the licenses/revivals are okay, except for a few horrid sounding licenses that I would never play/listen to myself.

dj taka is there with a crossover, neuras might be sota fujimori, the sonic-coll on myspace might be a diversion unless the one who sang flourish is not a bemani vocalist.

sonic-coll. is in-house. I also bet it's NAOKI. Flourish follows the progression of will, let it out, Kimochi, and many of his recent songs.
Music aside, whatever you may think of it, the steps are brilliant. The step charts are definitely a real high point for this game, and the series in general, I haven't been so pleased with the overall chart quality in a long time. There's very few disappointments. Though the ratings need work, and we need more representation in the 12-14 area.
The revival list is excellent, though it doesn't feel like it complements the game, so much as it was thrown in to please the fans. I'm not complaining, they just seemed musically incongruous to the rest of the game. Perhaps they're mostly chosen for challenge because the X KOs tend to stay in the 10 difficulty area without branching out too much.

I was thinking the same thing as well. The easiest revival on X is Sexy Planet.

Whatever comes out of this mess that is DDR X, Saber Wing, Flourish, and On the Bounce make the game toootally worth it. And I'm sure that of the songs not on the US CS version I will find among them another couple that make up for it. Some of these new KOs are just so. freaking. good. Great songs with great steps. Yeah, it's only like ~10 songs, lol.

i see it like this
5thmix-115 songs or so
then come DDRMAX-like 45 or so songs
DDRSN2-160 something songs or so
then come DDR X - like 79 or so
i guess they wanted to start fresh again..?
