I'm reading the issue that you have guys and that's the same that we got on X here (in europe).

When i saw the pictures of your X2 cab i could tell that it's the same design as our X cab.
I also noticed that a bunch of you were happy about the X2 design in USA so i'm wondering if you got the same build for X and X2.

The pads are really great where i play BUT some arrows can acting badly sometimes. (the 1P up arrow was fucked up the last time i played so i played on the 2P side)
Once an arrow got the same syndrom that you explain. It came because of a tiny tiny little rock incrusted beetween the plexiglass and the metal part of the pad. After removing it, it worked great.

I don't know if i explained well, i'm not at home right now and posting with my phone.

I might add a picture to explain tonigh if needed.

There is nothing different about the X2 cabinet. It's just the pads that are different compared to X.

I am at R1 right now and I can confirm the issue with the 1P up panel. The sensor somehow gets stuck on multiple occasions.
i can also confirm that the P1 up arrow was giving crap. I didn't really see any techs in the night though.

(today was a malfunctioning type of day. 1) DDR X2 and Pump PRO 2's card readers were malfunctioning early in the day, 2) technika crashed early in the day again and required a power reset, though it stayed fine after that, except for 3) technika kicked itself offline for my last credit, then got back online after i returned from the restroom, and 4) DDR X2 and DDR SN2's card readers turned themselves off in the night, which required 5 power cycles of X2 to get back to working condition.)

remember though guys, the P1 left arrow started giving crap and the techs fixed it. I'm inclined to believe it's not "betsonitis" but rather "welcome to puente hills"

"Let's get this movin'"
I contacted Customer Support (US) about the DDR Step Editor and this is the initial answer:
Quote

Dear Esteban,

This game is currently not listed in the games supported by the editor. We have posed this question to our Japan office and will have an answer for you shortly.

We will send you a reply once we have heard back from them.

Best Regards,

Konami Support
Hours of Operations: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm PST

So, the question has forwarded to KDE-J in order to be answered. I hope i can bring news in the upcoming time.
Talking about pads, i hope we can get X2 upgrade soon. Someone broke a foot panel a week ago here.

By the way, where's my present?

Maybe when we can get the update for X cabinet i can get more info (I checked all manuals for X2 arcade -located in betson- and it uses all the spare data that X has, even uses X diagrams)

It's still at #1 at Box Hill Timezone, and the first "new" song is Smooooch at #5. Some people just can't go past what they know.

Anything that resembles anime/cartoons?

well part of the problem is that a ton of people are playing Happy Mode. you'd be surprised how many ppl who played SuperNOVA2 have no idea that they are supposed to select Pro Mode (at Round1, at least)

90% of the people won't read the messages that are on the screen and will simply press the green START button to go to the next screen.

"May I wash you? @.@"
Does anyone know where I'll be able to import the soundtrack to this game when it comes out? I hope from Play-Asia or otaku.com...
