that result screen is just a joke btw, saying what's possible. the WR hasn't changed yet.

besides with that result you'd get 997,950 as a score :p

@Zowayix, SN1 didn't have a FC indicator but SN2 did.

SN1 does have a FC indicator. look at those two circles around the grade.

Looks like Dr.D is grinding the Basic chart some more.

I also heard he thinks Basic is a lost cause to go any further since mashing 420 bpm quarter notes will trigger goods/greats so he'll either try to finish beginner or get as far as possible with difficult.

As a note this video shows the Standard WR so far, and the video only gets 1-2 steps past the stop (the first 16th note burst has 5 steps).

This link is how much we know of the Standard chart so far.

Now all that's needed is to reliably AA Max.(period)Challenge...Confused

...yeah, I'd focus on trying to pass Beginner first. We at least know that everything up to the 840 BPM part is on beat, and we also know the exact rhythm of the first 3-4 notes after that part.

I don't think that's even a necessity. In the video you quoted, 1P was "playing" on Challenge for Max. (Period) and failed while 2P was playing on Difficult and got the necessary AA to move on to Encore Extra Stage. 1P was still able to play Difficult on Over The "Period",, while 2P was on Beginner.

^Ah, right, that would work also. It would also require double the credits.Oops Greedy KonamiEvil

====================

One more step reached in Beginner; don't think this has been posted yet. But no new chart info.Sad

https://vine.co/v/eKjMYQY2TqA

EDIT: Scratch that, there is some chart info in there. The cabinet lights stay continuously on during the four freezes leading up to the 840 BPM speedup, then flash four times, giving away the rhythm of the 224th step (even though we haven't seen it yet) as well as the fact that whatever chart the lights are following, it has 210 BPM 4th notes or faster during those four freezes, followed by the same rhythm as the Beginner chart for at least the next four notes.

Silverhawke, do you have a longer video clip that shows more of the cabinet lights beyond the fail point? Also I noticed you got 975k on Twitter with no video; do you remember what the next four steps were/what their rhythm was?

nope, all my attempts yesterday failed on the third step of the last section. the rhythm was like (in 210bpm 8ths) x--x--x--x--x-x--x-x--...

I'm gonna try 1.5x today.

Basic can be done but I think it will take really a good time until someone gets it. On the other side difficult...

at least we should try to finish beginner, probably by the end of next week. it might unlock the chart for regular play, might not
