They've already reported that they can enable edit mode, but no one has seem to have tried to use any edits yet.
Who has? We know to enable EDIT MODE, in the Japanese machines, the operator can enable that functionality but there are no known US locations where this is the case. So, it's assumed it's enabled in the same way but as of yet, nothing's happened.

at AZ mill's machine, when you start a game it prompts you to put in a USB device to play edits, so i would assume that edits can be enabled. i dont know why the machine would tell me i could if i cant. then again, the machine tells me to step on the arrows and we all know how well thats working on most machines.

i still cant figure out why sobakasu always sorted under F.
In case it's not 100% clear from antony's post, he's saying that in the song's only official English appearance, KONAMI entered it as FRECKLES.

i get what he is saying, but this is what i dont understand...

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a111/N00b_Saib0t/sobakasu.jpg

thats 6th mix. why does sobakasu sort under F? i can understand why it does it in SNUS, and to a lesser extent in 7th AC and EX AC where they added the "freckles" part to the title, but i never quite got why it sorted that way in 6th mix.

edit- in case it wasnt clear, on the song wheel it simply has the japanese writing(not sure if its kanji or katakana or what) for sobakasu. one would think that would sort to "S".

Excuse me then Tongue, good to know though... apparently all DDR games are computer sorted by something, that something keeps changing though.

Does anybody have a video of the default song wheel on a up-to-date unlocked DDR X arcade?

Not exactly a video, but it lists the songs in the same order as it appears in game.

So I wonder what exactly they fixed on the pads?

Also they need to fix the lag
I think a previous poster said the sensors were raised slightly. Perhaps they did a Betson version of a cardboard mod.
Also, it looks like the screen lag was fixed in that machine.

I played on the same machine that n00b played on just now at AZ Mills Gameworks.

Not too much to add to what he said, pads and syncing is horrible, and the announcer is very very annoying. I got a C on dazzle, wearas I can almost PFC it otherwise. I also hate those friggin stars when you get marvelous rating as they are extremely distracting.

However the machine is very nice. Even with the cut corners and downgrades, it definatly grabs peoples attention better than the previous cab did. It's also nice and loud, though when scrolling through the songlist, the samples starting up for each song starts to give you a headache.

If they could just fix the timing issues and kill that announcer, I would be satisfied.

It's nice Betson is fixing the pad rather then just letting it go. My worry is that it's going to be like the SN2 e-Amuse and they will only fix a hand count of machines.Confused

The song title is "Freckles (KCP Re-edit)". It's listed incorrectly as 'Sobakasu' on the songwheel, and written in katakana, because the song is based on a well-known japanese song with that name. Konami wanted consumers to associate the DDR song with the Judy & Mary song.

It's programmed into the game by it's actual name, which is why it shows up under F on the songwheel, and in the credits. The katakana was just tacked on wherever they could, but they legally have to refer to the song as "Freckles (KCP Re-Edit), because that's what it's called ^^;

...specifically because it was the opening to "Rurouni Kenshin" / "Samurai X", or at least to my understanding.

Found this video of someone actually putting in a USB drive onto the DDR X US AC:

Apparently, it doesn't seem to work...but it could just be that we have to wait for that program to come by OR it just won't allow it, idk.

Does anyone have that link where it showed the kinds of USB drives it accepts? Because i know the machine can only accept a few good number of USB drives and stuff...
