Wow! The first song that I already knew. Of course it's so famous so there are already available some of steps, but I'll make my own. Ryu☆ rocks!

They are the final notes of the stepchart. Unfortunately, prepare to get lambasted even more on this simfile when I post my votes/notes for Round D.
How wonderful, another failed chart. Oh great, wonder what happened this time around...
New Horizons will be playtested for hours on end until perfection and my money's already on 5 fails in a row. There's even a couple measures where I swapped to 72.5 and I might not even do that out of sheer paranoia.

+5 Mind Your Own Business [Telperion]
24ths <3
+3 VELFARRE 2000 [Loodee]
+3 licca [brunobg24]
A song in which Qrispy Joybox forgot for a moment he was making a Qrispy Joybox song and not a MAX MAXIMIZER song.
+3 TSAR BOMBA [mf32892]
+1 Naedine [Lisek]
This one took a long time to finally get going, but once it did the payoff was nice.
HM: Posin' [ DDRDAIKENKAI]
Electro-Swing <3 Too bad about the DQ though. Otherwise was my second favorite this week.
HM: Itadaki! Momoiro zombie nian [xXMokou98Xx]
HELP. IT'S TOO CUTE AND CUDDLY. Good expert file but missed a few really good opportunities to go half-speed in a few spots. Challenge, well… I've voiced the fact that I don't like bracketing, and I'll voice it again. I don't like bracketing. Just my personal opinion. That being said, some of the bracketing near the end seemed awkward (that long left-up hold where you have a bunch of other notes you hit with your heels).
HM: Youkaisai Sandou -Oriental Swing- [CuzcoBlocko]
ONE MORE TIME [The Legendary DJXYZ]
That warp was really cheap.
Other cheap gimmicks here too, but you've been told that already.
Zetsubousei: Hero Chiryouyaku [MRace2010]
$$$EX [chewi]
On and On [hypnoticmarten77]
Time again [usaminseijin]
Sigatrev [Nezemarth]
Even though the 24ths are technically correct, I probably wouldn't have used them in this file. Sometimes 24ths are fun, sometimes they're not, and in this case they just weren't. Really watch out for double-steps too; there's a few in the file that are really noticeable and very awkward. Challenge tended to have a lot less double-steps (pretty much none until the end) and much more flowing patterns... too bad you randomly decided this should be filled with 8ths notes instead of 12ths like the song is actually playing, ruining pretty much all playability the chart would have had otherwise. If the song's playing 12ths, you step 12ths, not 8ths that make absolutely no rhythmic sense.

Lol, this is why I wished I stepped Can't Sleep Love in Round A. I feel like it would've been popular, aside from the gimmicks, which many probably would've said were unnecessary or "forced".@MRace2010 Yes, I would like a little more in depth feedback on Carry on Carry on.
About those stops, I felt they were necessary. I think it would've been awkward to have a 3/16ths of essentially silence. The slowdown felt warranted because of the very noticeable increased intensity afterwards.
Regarding Round E, I'm enjoying this song. It's very steppable. Since it's from Cytus, I'm going to guess Telperion or brunobg24 submitted it.
Votes should hopefully come tomorrow. I'll try to get in some feedback as well. I want to get that done ASAP because of final projects for school (but strangely, there's not a ton of daily homework at this point, so I've had more "free" time than usual.)

[ROUND D] - The week of eurobeat and multicultural pop. Here's my votes, with tiny comments.
+3 licca (qrispy joybox at its finest)
+3 Youkaisai Sandou (it seems I underestimated the steppability of this song upon first hearing it)
+2 Living In The City (welcome to the eurobeat club)
+2 VELFARRE 2000 (welcome to you as well)
+2 $$$ex (whoa, major NSFW alert @submitter... nonetheless this plays like a better Chance It)
+1 Time Again (nekomata master? check.)
+1 TSAR BOMBA (oh man, hectic LED is back and more hectic than ever)
+1 Momoiro Zombie Nian (so she's a pop idol who fights zombies with her cats? I don't get this song at all, but the chart was good)
+HM Mind Your Own Business (ran out of points to give this one, also had a few doublesteps but nothing too major)
+? Hero Chirouyaku- Your file glitched out on my computer and I didn't get the chance to play it... it's a shame because it sounds really fun to play. NOTE- I also didn't play the two files that were late (Posin' and Sigatrev)
On ONE MORE TIME- Wow, so sorry to everyone for that horrible neglect for Stepmania 3.95. Hopefully the new version atones for that. (And as much as they are a defecit to the file, I kept the stops, since that's how it was submitted. This is in no way a re-submission, just a simple bug fix.)

It's specifically the fact that they went to complete silence.

The purple notes indicate where the chart SHOULD have ended.
In other news, I'm really enjoying what I got. I will be including a
chart for the first time in this run. It won't be out of whack, just some 32nds to account for the record scratching.
Update: It turns out this .sm has an entire error in it. That's why those last 4 notes go to silence.

Look at this huge gap. I noticed how odd it was. I moved everything below it 6 beats up, and suddenly, the chart was A LOT better. Somehow, a large chunk of the entire .sm (it's on the other charts too) got moved about 6 beats down. Is this only on my side? While the gimmicks are still dodgy, they don't feel as obtrusive. In fact, when I did this, the entire file massively improved. I'm wondering if I should change my votes because this error prevented me from enjoying the chart fully...

If you own StepMania 3.95, download the custom ZIP for "ONE MORE TIME" right here.
Huh, so warps don't work on 3.95. The more you know...
I turned it into mines instead, just to mark where the warp was. Hope that's not a problem.

Now that I think about it, IS changing votes allowed? Just in the case you accidentally forgot to download a file (for whatever reason) or you changed your mind about something?
In other news, please make sure your .sm is actually pointing towards the banner before releasing. I noticed a number of files (specifically xXMokou98Xx, hypnoticmarten77, and The Legendary DJXYZ's) have this ugly problem when their "banner" is previewed;

This is the song's jacket and tilted by 45 degrees.
Here's what should be happening.

What's going on here is that this field in the .sms is either incorrect (most common cause being "[ROUND A] - Feel The Beat-bn.png" when the actual file doesn't have the "-bn" at the end) or missing, and StepMania uses the first image aside from the background it can find, and it uses the jacket and tilts it by 45 degrees.
If the banners on the submitter's side DOES have "-bn" at the end, ZIv's servers isn't taking account of this and releasing the files without the "-bn". It's best to have them be just the folder name.png or upload a custom zip where the correct banner name is used.

Huh, so warps don't work on 3.95. The more you know...
Warps were actually inspired by a glitch in 3.9/3.95 where you could enter a negative BPM in one spot and then a positive BPM in another and the file would skip over a large chunk of the file. It got "fixed" in SM4 but was brought back as warps in SM5 by popular demand (the game even takes old files with the negative BPM trick and converts them into warps automatically). So actually there's a way to recreate your file in older builds but the math involved gets weird and I could never figure out how to do it myself. Speaking of warps

FIGHT! / aests

I'm... actually kind of glad I didn't have any vetoes left. Under normal circumstances I likely would have vetoed this too (no offense to the submitter), but I ended up making a neat little warp gimmick and I'm relatively happy with the result.
SM5 ONLY. DO NOT PLAY IN 3.9

To the person who submitted Super Fantasy, next time leave the gimmicks to the stepper. It's just a little more convenient to not have to take them out if they aren't wanted. Thanks for submitting the song though, I like it

Am I the only one that still uses 3.9?....
I AM placing FIGHT! in my SM5 directory, but I keep all of the other files in a separate song folder in my DDRMAX4 files.

We've never had a vote change before (cmiiw), so no. Once you post your votes, it is final (unless you gave out too many or too few; even then, you're not allowed to add and subtract votes simultaneously). Check your votes before posting, make sure they go to the correct files.Post #619 · Posted at 2015-12-09 02:57:21pm 9.5 years ago

Oh.... okay. I do feel bad for ONE MORE TIME, though. I should have known this problem was there before voting.

I'm kind of late for this but I would like to use my first veto. I'm sorry for the submitter but, while the song itself isn't bad, I don't really know how to step it and make it enjoyable. >.<
@DYXZ Uh, that's weird. When you try to play the simfile, what happens? Please specify what you mean with "glitched out" so that I can understand what could be the problem.
@mf I'll try to PM you as soon as possible. Lately I've been busy with school and stuff so I'm not really extremely active with things >.<
