I don't like a good chunk of Sota's songs (around more than half of Sota's whole library of songs), but saying that New Decade is his only decent song is quite exaggerated.

It's a great song, not his best maybe, yeah. But I'm happy to see it on IIDX at least, the new cut doesn't bother me at all.

Hey, give Sota some credit here! It is his birthday, afterall...as well as mine, but who the heck cares...

That being said, I'm still enjoying Sota's songs to this day. CONCEPTUAL is, afterall, catching on as one of my many favorites of this game thus far~

I have to say, the theory of "We all have one oppinion, if you are of a different oppinion, then you will be punished" is one of the things holding this community back. Its a music game site for general music game talk, and the thread is also about an entire game. Its not like this is the "ZOMG Sota's the best artist ever" fan page.

I personally am of the opinion that half of his music is great, and the other half is trash......maybe more 60/40, his entire synth line annoys me.

I don't like every Sota song either...but to say he only has one would put you in an extreme minority. I welcome his opinion, even if I'm giving him a slightly hard time about it.

What about collaboration songs?

Everyone orgasms over Go Beyond!! (ugh...as in I like it, but not crazy for it)

I find The Story Begins and DOUBLE IMPACT to be excellent.

All of that VENUS stuff isn't for me.

Sota's collaboration songs are good overall, I really enjoy Go Beyond!, prompt and DOUBLE IMPACT. The VENUS songs are good as well (though all of them were composed and/or arranged by Sota, Yoshitaka just provided lyrics and/or vocals).

I think Sota really pulls through when he is doing boss songs. Paranoia Respect, Maximizer, Arabian Rave Night, New Decade, and Prompt are all some of his best works IMO.

Boss Time = Crunch Time

I personally love how Sota goes all out with synthesizers in his songs. And his remixes aren't too shabby as well (those of Rainbow Flyer, Programmed World, and Be Quiet come to mind). Though I do have to say that sometimes the synths can get repetitive-sounding, but that's not enough to say that 99% of his stuff is subpar.

(and yeah his boss songs are some of his best work; he gets my respect for Paranoia Respect)

No love for Fly Above/In Heaven? (People might be divided with In Heaven's ending, however. I hope the long version is more balanced with respect to that). Although I find some of Sota's stuff repetitive, overall I think his songs are pretty much all right.

I ADORE Go Beyond!! but like you said thats a collaboration song, I was refering to the songs are composed only by Sota himself, and I don't like VENUS works too D:

I listened to Need Your Love yesterday and it is actually a nice song, I can see myself listening to it a couple times, but out of all his works, those 2 (New Decade and Need Your Love) are the only songs I find my listening, I ended up detesting everything else

If/When a Zektbach song pops up, I hope it's a brand new song as opposed to a pop'n music crossover. If it ends up being a crossover, though, it's better than nothing.

I would actually love it if meme from REFLEC BEAT colette was put in tricoro to be honest.

I just listened to meme for the first time and it's a really nice song. I wouldn't be surprised if it did crossover to tricoro. I still would like to see a brand new composition, though.

I would not have an issue with meme getting in but damn it Raison d'etre and Ristaccia were so good.
