This post will appear on the next page!

Well I'm glad that my speculation of a second Psychic type was shot down.

Quote: thy self
Well seeing that we about 6 months away. I've decided to speculate the possiblities of what the Gym Leaders and Elite 4 pokemon type are going to be in the upcoming Pokemon XY.

Gym Leaders
Dark/Psychic
Bug
Dragon/Steel
Fire
Ghost
Grass
Ground/Poison

I think that its high time that Dark Types should have their own gym seeing that is the only type that doesn't have a gym. As for the rest on the list they have at least 2 gyms through out the series. The ones not listed has more than 2 gyms.

Elite 4
Electric/Steel
Flying
Grass/Water
Normal/Rock

Well as you can see these types listed have yet to recieve Elite status. Then again Dark, Ghost and Psychic are total OP types when it comes to the Elites.

So I want to know what everyone else thinks about this.

Still no takers on this discussion?

Because there's basically nothing to base speculations on, and I don't like baseless speculations.

I wouldn't call it baseless, only if you only played one particualr generation. I've played every generation and I did a little research on what Pokemon type that were used in the gyms and elites. I'm just going out on a limb here and say that eveyone would rather talk about DDR than anything else on this planet.

^ It's still baseless. Look at the fire starters. 3/5 of them have been Fire/Fighting. Nintendo doesn't care about the frequencies. Or maybe they do, but you can't base predictions off them.

I like to talk about IIDX and RB and BEMANI stuff in general too, but whatever.
Anyway see Gen 5. When they revealed Alomomola we just thought it'd be Luvdisc's evo and stuff but turned out they didn't create any evo/pre-evos for the old Pokemon (they included nothing at all pre-post-game anyway).
(and who thought that Tepig will be another Fire/Fighting while the other two doesn't have any secondary types?)

So yeah, I'm with Astroman here. Still baseless. There's practically near zero information around. Though that's bound to change since on the 19th (IIRC) there'll be a fuckton new info released (+CoroCoro).

Well I think this is the most info we've gotten since the announcement of the new gen.

looks sexy, hope the English/International version doesn't do a lot except change the game text/logo (then again I usually always favor the Japanese logos)

Yanchamu is adorable.
Also, what's with the trend of having type/normal? Not that I'm really opposed to it, it's just weird seeing a sub normal???

And with the Pokemon hype I've been playing Soulsilver again.
Chikorita is a pain to start with without a proper team X__x

And here's my pokemon line up for the game.

Big Bird (Pidgeot)
Lv 100 Female; Sassy Nature
Keen Eye - prevents loss of accuracy

Jumbo Worm (Gyarados)
Lv 89 Male; Gentle Nature
Intimidate - Lowers the foe's attack

Rabid Puppy (Ninetails)
Lv 93 Female; Naive Nature
Flash Fire - Powers up if hit by fire

Psycho (Alakazam)
Lv 100 Female; Timid Nature
Inner Focus - Prevents Flinching

Midget Wing (Dragonite)
Lv 91 Female; Quiet Nature
Inner Focus - Prevents Flinching

Tree Frog (Venusaur)

Heh, it took me four years to properly EV train my LeafGreen team. All that's left for me to EV train is my SoulSilver team.

^ So much training, in fact, that you misspelled "Ninetales" Tongue

I also find it interesting how you included three pokemon that are part-flying on that team.

Well you guys are no fun. Anywho I agree with Silverhawke, boxes are very sexy. Congrats silenttype01, I know I couldn't pull off effective EV/IV training. For me all that is left for me to do is to finish the 2nd half of the Unova region (i'm currently in Clay's Tunnel) then transfer all of my Pokemon from Diamond, Soul Silver and (possiblity) White 1 to fill the Pokedex, though I may have to trade some in order to get 100% full.

Speaking of which, Deoxys is available as a mystery gift via Nintendo WFC.

It looks like there are 3 different variations of the main characters, so there might be a possiblity of character customization.

Almost forgot. Yancham the Panda is so Uber Cute, though Fennekin is still Epic Cute.

I usually EV train once I'm done the main storyline. Most of my post-game pokemon are EV trained. Still in the process of EV training my Glaceon (yet I don't remember what EVs I was giving her)
I can't take IV training, maybe I'll have a ditto or two with 31 and use the EV items but other than that I can't stand trying to get perfect IVs.

I have a hard enough time trying to get the right nature/ability combo when breeding, no thanks for your IVs.

That being said, is anyone else super spoiled by the Lucky Egg they give you in B/W 1&2? I can't take playing without it in 4th gen so I farmed like 5 on my diamond >_< Unfortunately Emerald is still super hard to train in...

Yeah, I don't bother with perfect IVs either. I tend to go for manageable IVs, like above 10 on all stats at least. Of the few 31 IVs that I do get, I chain breed it onto other pokemon for future use. My EV trained pokemon are my story line pokemon from Leaf Green, Black, White, and White2. And the rest were IV trained pokemon for Battle Tower/Subway/etc.

this so much.

anyway I only EV trained 4 Pokemon and intentionally bred good IVs on 2 (I get a ☆you tried☆ on the other 2), which are Espeon and Aggron.

Breeding IVs while getting that DW ability pass down was quite a pain in the ass >_>

My guesses:
Frog is using Bubble
the grass starter is using Leech Seed
Fennekin is using Ember
The bird is using Brave Bird
The panda is using Leer
The lizard is using Thunder Wave
Gogoat is using Horn Leech

Fletchling might also be using Flame Charge.
I totally forgot Thunder Wave's animation (since I skipped it in BW2), but Helioptile might also be using Discharge, idk.

Gogoat reminds me of Terrakion. I highly doubt that its a new evolution of it.

Pokemon from the video and facts about them like the panda can learn Parting Shot, a new move.
