Not the equivalent per se, but the number of revivals, or possibly how good that game was.
The same way Extreme 2 is heralded as the game with the best songlist so far.

piepiepie: sure it's their collaboration, but I can't feel Naoki in the song.
How can you say that? Listen to that, then listen to some other Smile.dk songs. There is so much that sets this one apart and makes it very different from other Smile.dk songs.Post #603 · Posté à 2009-01-29 12:06:00am il y a 16.7 années

of course. not paying enough attention to the song.
yup, now I feel him there, possibly the backing track, but I don't recognize it on any other naoki song. But for some reason the
naoki song which is a DLC in UN3 popped into my head. Maybe that's the Naoki in the song.
But then again, i'm not a judge of music, nor someone who scrutinizes (for lack of better term) them.

Do the characters have original dance routines in the PS2 version like the arcade , or is it like X US?

Nadeshiko Rock may have one of the best charts I've ever seen.
As for SMM specials, It's like thy pick the very worst of the Paranoia & Trip Machine seires and did new steps for them. Tying to make up how much they suck? It bugs me more that they have the best Paranoia & Trip Machine songs in it as well. Hint, Starts with an S and ends with Urvivor

Everyone is dissapointed that this game didn't have more KO's... but if the JP version did, everyone would complain that X US was not acurate at all.
The way I see it, this goes to show you that DDR just isn't popular in Japan anymore. I remember seeing somewhere that said SuperNOVA2 only sold like 100 000 copies, compared to MAX 2 US, which sold over a million.
If people bought it when 7th mix came out, (which you can't say it sold because DDR just came out), then they must have been doing something right then, that they are not doing now. Honestly, I blame it on the Bemani crossovers. Before EXTREME, it was a nice treat to have some songs crossovers, but now, we depend on it for our life. We depend on it to give us the songs we want to see. Who knows, maybe people are just getting tired of it. It's like the reviews say, "there's nothing new". You might say "well duh, it's DDR, how much can you change?" Well you can. It doesn't take much to add new features, brand new modes, including a great songlist.
Konami is seeing the way things are going for DDR, and I guess they're just giving up.

I won't say that they given up, but It's losing what made DDR, DDR. I understand that they are trying to get to a new audience, but that don't mean you have to sacrifice the old crowd.Post #611 · Posté à 2009-01-29 05:33:01am il y a 16.7 années

Opinion.
All these spoilers in posts get irritating when they're just single words spoilered out.

A Geisha's Dream is one of the best songs on the game. We need more of this.
One of the only new BEMANI songs, and it pretty much destroys the rest of the commission list. Sigh. Please learn something from this, KONAMI.

You have your figures way wrong. SuperNOVA2 has only sold 20,000 copies in Japan, but that's not really that bad. IIDX Gold has only sold 30,000 copies. In its first 10 weeks, SuperNOVA2 JP sold about 16,000 copies, while DDR MAX JP sold around 19,000. Not much difference.
Also: Can someone rip the banners for the new songs please? I'd like to add them to the simfile category.

You're obviously using the wrong brand of soap.
I can't believe I forgot to ask:
Can some one check on Edit mode and Course mode? I'm curious if the selection of revivals had to do with any of those.

Scoll through of the full songlist. *spoilers duh*
The long awaited good ol Ubertreffens a 13 on Expert.
And wow, was Trigger Oni's radar that colossal in the US version? Look at that chaos!
And I too wish to see course mode. Are the Dance Drill Courses there?
