Do we know for sure though that the pads don't register input of the title screen or is it just from what we can see. I'm thinking that maybe it does register, but no lights indicates that you did.

Quote: Brazen
Its definitely an input code unlock system like on X as on all the screens but the title screen , the pads do not register any input.

Emphasis added.

Someone should just try Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right twice and see what happens. They've gotta use that combination eventually!

"Give me a steady beat."
It was used on ITG. Roll Eyes

And I don't recall, when entering the stage codes on DDR X, the arrows lighting up at all. There was ZERO indication that I was even doing anything until the last step in the code and the unlock level badge silently ticked up to the next digit.

Nope. The pads definitely do light up when you enter the codes at the title screen.

Hmm, my experience is only with Asian upgrade kits on legacy machines. Perhaps the new cabinets are wired differently?

are wired a bit different, but curiously, there are some parts who can be swapped from X Cabinet to Legacy cabinet. You can find the diagrams on Betson page.

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
I went to Round1 last night. X2 was the most popular machine for the two hours (9PM to 11PM) that I was there. At its peak, there were about five people waiting to play, but it died down to maybe three by the time I left. I would have played, but I was with some friends from school and they wanted to play games with me and I figured they didn't want to wait in that huge line for X2, so we played other stuff.

Someone did recognize me though and came up to talk to me while me and my friend were playing GH:AC. I thought it was kind of funny how someone there would know who I was since I had never met any of the players that were there.

* In the root of your USB drive, create a folder called DDR_EDIT
* Inside there put DDR_EDIT_U.DAT you create with DDR Step Editor.
* Once enter the credit, follow on-screen instructions
-
Use FAT16 or FAT32 drives.
DDR Editor is on ddredit.konamionline.com

I'm going to see if there's a workaround with using edits not made with the online editor. There must be a way to export data made with DDReditMAX2 (which would allow us to make edits for the licenses).

Pie, have you tried checking to see if JP edits work by renaming the .DAT file?

What is it then just AA songs? Because paul had a AA set that ranked above 40 and he said nothing happened so unless he's missing something

If you AAA Maxx Unlimited on all stages I'm pretty certain you'll get extra stage too.

I'm not Pie, but I tried it, and it didn't work; it recognized the USB drive, but it didn't load the edits. Although, it may have been the software that came with it; it probably wanted to install itself and restart the system before I could properly use it.
