You imply that you can make StepMania song filters in plain Lua without making changes to the engine?

Well if anyone would code a music wheel to be able to sort songs like WORLD actually does, it would be cool

I had no idea people had already figured out how to sort a folder by debut, difficulty, or alphabetical on the fly with a button press in StepMania through theming alone. Or how to combine sorts, like Classic+14. That’s genuinely incredible. You should link those themes here so that people who do DDR themes can look at them and figure out how to do that in their themes.

This was achieved years ago, but since modified versions of Stepmania came out that were more "friendly" for organizing songs, people started using only those versions. I don't think I saw showing multiple folders and then filtering them in either of those? Like nothing that would compare to 1st-5th (this is one group) + MAX-Extreme (also one group) + SN1/SN2 (again, one group) + DDR X-X3 (again, one group), then filter those four groups to only show 13s, and then filter that to only be on Expert, then filter that to only be 180 BPM, then filter that to only AAAs.

Like I said, it's easy enough to only do one of those, you don't even have to rename your folders in /Songs/ to combine the groups like 1st-5th, but stacking that many filters on several groups at once isn't something I've ever seen.

The only thing I saw in that Simply Love video that I didn't know existed in SM was reordering a group.

When DDR WORLD for SM5 preview version?

Yes, I did not change it during gameplay.

It seems the cause was having too many items in the high-speed settings.
After reducing them slightly, it functioned normally.

This is an incredible theme!

I cannot even begin to describe how happy I am to be playing DDR again.

I just have one question and I apologize if this has been asked and or answered already. This this allows you to change the Speed of the game while you are playing it and it tells you to go into the settings and set specific menu inputs. This good and works very well but, unless I am thinking about this wrong I have to have two forms of input to now use this theme. I am playing with a dance pad and that works great in game but now to navigate the menu I cant use the dance pad anymore and I have to use either a separate controller or use the keyboard.

Would it be possible to make the speed change inputs optional or disable them so we can use the pad to control the menu and play seamlessly without needing multiple inputs.

Its not the end of the world and this theme works really well and I am still excited to use it and enjoy DDR again but I just wanted to ask!

By the way, I've recently edited my theme fork to make the combo text placement more accurate.

That's probably one of the things that was not quite accurate.

I don't expect the RandomMovies system to work at the moment.

And you said you cannot set up Kaiden as your Dan icon? Hm.
I'll see what's going on in the code that makes it not work.

Generic videos cannot work, also.
Possible fix: rename any generic video as song title.

I expected the theme to be used with the dance stages, so I generally don't attempt to fix the other background modes.
