I know that, but why was it cut from its original length in the first place, when some songs (namely, DoLL, at ~1:58) aren't cut. The same thing (to a lesser extent) with Daikenkai. A little bit was cut near the beginning, making its length in DDR 1:46, where in Pop'n 6 it was 1:54.

MARIA (I believe...) was slashed to 1:18 from 1:56. It does not make sense.

The Ultramix/Universe series NEVER cuts Bemani songs (except for Sana Mollete ne Ente (BLT Style) and, of course, pot-pourri d'orange). STR!KE was apparently trying to be different, what with the abundance of Challenge, although DoLL could have been cut at the beginning and it would still work (maybe work better).

Outer Limits (from Song Pack 2) would like a word with you. The Festival one was actually uncut. I actually can't see where DoLL can be cut.

Arctic Wolves: I never actually noticed a difference in Rainbow Flyer or Music to Your Head, and I didn't know which version of Himawari was "official", because it's on GF/DM, IIDX, and DDR, and...well, it's BeForU.

The GF/DM version of Himawari existed first, before any album versions, so other game versions are cut from that one (although it wasn't cut for beatmaniaIIDX).

The intro to rainbow flyer was cut, and I believe a piece of the middle, can't remember.

The end of MUSIC TO YOUR HEAD is shortened.

To be honest, rainbow flyer needed the cuts, and MUSIC TO YOUR HEAD repeats itself so that the cut parts return (much like RED ZONE). I've never understood why Himawari was cut, though.

DDR Festival DID NOT ruin Outer Limits steps. I actually think they were even better.

Haha ok then, well its just a matter of opinion I suppose. The eight 1/4 note jumps at the beginning kinda killed it for me. I don't hate it, but I definitely don't prefer it over the original.

I don't really understand their music cutting policy. I think that if they are going to put in BEMANI crossovers that aren't "long versions", they should just leave the song length the way it is. But if they can't do it, then I'll just leave them the way they are in my simfiles.

I dunno, I liked the runs more in Outer Limits' Festival chart.
Also speaking of which, Outer Limits Alternative is amazing and should be somehow merged with The Deep Striker.

I think the Ultramix chart for Outer Limits is better. Some of the fixes were really good (Quickening, Infinite Prayer -floating flock style-, Mind Parasite), and have become some of my favorite stepcharts, but others hurt more than they helped (Gorgeous 2012, Meaning of Life, Something Wonderful).

They don't want people dancing that long. Anything above 1:50 or so can be tiring and repetitive. Although you can't cut Alphabet Aerobics without ruining the whole point of the song (but they had to censor it, so what the heck ).

Alphabet Aerobics was unique in that they used a pre-existing cut of the music. And they did cut from that. But not from the song's length, rather a certain word...

Yeah, and that effed up the line a little.

On the other hand, "rock it" sounds better for Giudecca than "fuck it".
