I have literally all of them working. There’s a version of mame that has all of them plus you can adjust the sync in it.
Sorry to bother again, but could you link to that version of MAME, or is it something that can be found with a quick google?

Yeah it's the Mame offset fix. It seems to be a custom version of Mame that added a slider to adjust the offset.
https://www.reddit.com/r/DanceDanceRevolution/comments/g4b6ib/mame_ddr_offset_fix/fnwinhc/
And just in case you have a hard time finding it in the comments for whatever reason.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UwTIoN2KQtMozAMoEdtye8CuRq0p355u/view
Edit: Oh and just as a heads up it doesn't save the offset change. You have to do it every time you load up any game.

does the effector actually work in Beatmania 3 the Final? I have it configured to where i can select my effect, choose track or element, change my values for 1 and 2, and then turn on my choices with the foot pedal. I see on the screen the popup of the effect panel showing which lights are on, but i dont hear any change in the audio?
i also get random half second stutters in the gameplay/audio. does everyone get this, or just me? it seems to be related to the BGA because turning translucent off, or choosing a "frame + counter" skin seems to help but it still occurs.
one last question: i randomly get HDD Error 0 and CD Error 0 when playing IIDX 6-8th. is there a way to stop this? sometimes it never appears during hours of playing, other times it appears right away. it seems random and not specifically reproducable.
but IIDX works well enough i was able to clear 8th dan. apparently there should be 9th and 10th dan, but they didnt seem to unlock, even though i doubt i could do them with only HS3. thanks for the help of everyone in this thread, which made getting all this setup very easy

On that note, I wanted to try and see if I could start Beatmania IIDX 8th style on MAME. Obviously the game probably won't work, but I want to see if it will even launch at all. However, I have this problem to deal with:

Either it's the ROM files that are faulty (which I doubt because my usual ROM site has proper files most of the time) or MAME is spewing out lies, but I have to ask:
Is there a way of bypassing the checksum, or am I stuck on a wild goose chase for the "proper" ROM files that I will never get?

Retroguy, the CHDs from here are the ones I used:
[NAH, MATE]
However, I needed to use the Roms from a "newer" set, here:
[NAH, MATE]
I was able to run them without doing any kind of trickery using MAME .234 which I got from the regular MAME site.
I hope this helps you.

I’m like 99% sure we’re not allowed to link to roms or any kind of piracy site here.

Registered just to post here, hi btw!
So MAME 0.236 works with all mixes, but you have to go to the emu menu under slots and change to the install cassette depending on mix to get the game to install to the NVRAM. Once you do that you can change it back to game and it works fine. Also save states aren't supported but do work, so save a state at the warning disclaimer and edit your individual ini files to load that state when the driver loads.
I just spent all of today doing this process for a future project of mine. Also I want to know for how long MPEG decoding has been in mame since I know R. Belmont (i think) posted about having it working around 2016.

Is anyone if MAME is already able to emulate the Bemani Viper and Bemani Python board games? I want pop'n music 9-14 to be emulatable in MAME.

Viper? Yes, as of MAME 0.235 - graphics are imperfect in the case of ParaParaParadise 2ndMIX but that game is playable (I have yet to test the other Konami Viper-based games). Python? No, at least at the moment.

So currently, all of the IIDX games on the Bemani Twinkle are playable, although very buggy. (Random audio cut-outs, game crashes after a while, etc.) However, there is one game that refuses to start at all, and that is the very first IIDX game (1st style). It gives this error on start-up:
E600 DVD INIT ERROR
I assume that it thinks there's a problem with the disk drive, which literally doesn't exist on MAME. Is there some sort of setting/file that I can modify to at least make it run, or is that just a MAME problem stuck like that?
Extra note: I'm using 0.231 ROM files and 0.225 CHD files.

The problem isn't incompatible files, because every other IIDX game up to 8th style (including substream) works for me.
It's ONLY a 1st style error.

I'm using bemani branch MAME by 33c17f40 from below, it work good for IIDX 1 to 8 and it support IDX and DDR session too.

There is more than just MAME out there. POP'n Music 9-14 is already playable on the PC, the same way DDR A20 is playable on a PC.
