If anything, this is going to be pretty fad-based. The popularity will initially be great, but over time, it's going to dwindle down into barely anything special, just like with DanceEvo.

I still wish I saw actual gameplay footage instead of people using the game. I still think it probably plays like those old Tap Tap Revolution apps on the iphone back in the day. XD

Gonna be super disappointed if they don't call credits "CREDITZ" , considering the name. Or, if they make an update, call it 'Shuffle Dancerz XTREEEME

Now the game is renamed again to DANCE GENERATIONS (or DANCE_GENERATIONS?). Seems to be another loctest with a new (possibly more included later) song. There was also someone playing the new song with just their hands and head, so I guess you can play the game that way if you truly wanted to lmao.

So from what little of the gameplay I've seen so far... Basically it's going to overlay digital effects over a live video feed, and to earn points, you... Um... Is this supposed to be a game, or just some kind of entertainment device?

I would be a bit more convinced, but the identity crisis this game has is not helping at all.

Is there any news about this Dance Shuffle Star game?

Well, the name sounds a lot better than "Shuflle Dancerzzzz", I'll give them that. Still no actual gameplay footage, sadly, but hey, thanks to those slick looking overlays on the floor, now you can look like Michael Jackson in the Billie Jean video. ;)

That pad looks insane with the new lighting effects.

I do think this game is trying to go after the "do you like selfie filters and stickers? Then you'll love this!" crowd. If executed with the right partners, this game could, personally, do well in North America.

are the visual effects we see on the gameplay videos the "notes"? is it "kinect" based like Dance Evolution and it just judges what you do with your body versus an onscreen avatar which is showing you what to do? or does the LED pad light up to indicate where you need to press (be it with feet, or hands, as in one video i saw)?? i dont understand how the gameplay actually works.
