Speaking of pop'n, do you think they'll eventually introduce more divisions for other game? Like how DDR has it by region, and pop'n has boys and girls.

Still most of the customs played are stamina drainers, Egoism is basically an ITG chart when you put it in that perspective, something that Chris knows a lot and plays a lot.

Chris hasn't played ITG in months, I'm fairly sure.

And ITG doesn't have those kinds of gimmicks, thankfully.

"Resident leather daddy."
Honestly there's an interesting potential byproduct of an American winning KAC that not many people have been talking about--namely, that Konami might be more interested and apt to localize and release BEMANI games stateside. Chris winning shows Konami that there's a market for music games in the US, and though it might not necessarily mean that we're going to get pop'n music or IIDX or SDVX games immediately, it does at least bode well for the future of localized DDR (since A was the last localized DDR game since I think X3).

It might be a bit of a pipe dream since music games are already niche and the only thing that really speaks Konami's language is consumer dosh, but hey, it's just speculation.

IMO, Fefemz blew his chance at victory on Paranoia Revolution, not Egoism. Chris was inevitably going to have a higher EX score on Egoism since he has much better MA on that song, which is what matters for EX. Meanwhile, while Fefemz did win Paranoia Rev, it was also Chris's weak song and Fefemz didn't widen the gap nearly as much as he could have. He completely botched the 180 crossovers at the end of the slowdown, which was the killer - there are 30 steps in that crossover pattern, meaning 90 possible EX points; in that match, Fefemz got only 39 of those 90 possible points (and you can see that the lead he had over Fungah completely disappeared in that moment). Considering he got ~80 out of the 90 points in his 994k WR video, he would've won overall had he just performed better on that one section.

There's no doubt that the concept for the winning songs for the 6th KAC original contest is going to be about pirates.

SDVX+AC4BF confirmed

Nice analysis there, congrats. Indeed, FEFEMZ just choked the last second in ParaRevo: just see his face in the end of the song, he was so dissapointed about his score. The nice thing is in conclusion both Chris and FEFEMZ are about equally skilled, so if we gonna see some future DDR tournaments it will be so amazing with both of them participating.

Overall it was a nice KAC this year, with so many great moments:

- DDR with the best performance in stage IMO. Almost everyone was excited in this moment.
- SDVX was solid as always, with 2 lvl 20 songs revealed and the KAC contest.
- Until he will retire or the game is canceled, TATSU will win the P'nM tournament all the years. Different story with the girls division.
- Sad for siron in RB, but is cool to see new faces for the 1° place from time to time.

I miss some news (new mixes, a KAC boss song for IIDX, "something" in Múseca -idk, a new song or new stuff-, some hype for GITADORA -it was so painful to see the stage empty at the begining-) but with this i hope they raise the bar in the next year.

IIDX Doubles was the most amazing thing I saw in KAC this year. Quell in particular was an insane chart to watch as well as Shakunetsu (if i spelled that wrong i don't really care)

Completely agree with you. Things like the doubles finals in IIDX and the team finals in jubeat are nice additions to the show. With that, maybe in the next year they add more interesting stuff for other games
