I mean, that after i download all of the .dll files it's been missing, when i try to run it, it failed to run the program. It's all that the popup actually says, I can screenshot this later if you need it.

Ok, I'll do that whenever I get the chance.

Does it look like the crash this guy got on his really old video card?

IIRC, I think so, yeah. A little similar to that problem.
EDIT: It's kinda different.

That seems similar to an error I had recently when I downloaded 5.0.7 onto my new computer. I think something weird was up with the d3dx9_43.dll file. (Which by the way wasn't even included in the SM installer. I had to grab the file elsewhere. SM was complaining I needed it in order to play.) After using this DLL file fixer program (the free version) and restarting my computer, SM has been working just fine. It's worth a try.

I'm aware of that, I'm saying when I redownloaded SM the file was missing. The program I linked to is supposed to fix any errors with the file.

I believe, the error has nothing to do with that dll because as far as I remember, the error dialog displays the name of the missing dll if that's the case.

Okay let me start from the beginning.
In my case, the .dll was missing and I got an error saying I was missing that .dll. After I downloaded the .dll is when I started getting Dreamland's error. Then I downloaded the .dll file fixer, ran the program, restarted my computer, and after that SM worked just fine.
I only mention the missing .dll because this was the problem I initially had and I thought it was possible someone else that just downloaded SM had a similar issue, that's all.

So I went ahead with Gameoson's suggestion, and It did manage to fix the problem. Thank you very much.

I wonder why SM5 team doesn't include that required dll? Most of the PC games (e.g. cracked TAITO Type X/X2 games, or other PC games) comes with a dx9 dll file. Even the cracked BEMANI PC games have it too. At least it doesn't require us to install the whole Direct X thing.

The funny thing is, the dll was included in older versions. Every time a new version came out I just installed the new version over the old one, so I have no idea when SM stopped including the dll with the download.
Glad you got SM working again, Dreamland.

Turns out this problem is addressed in the FAQ: http://www.stepmania.com/faq#d3dx9DLL (second to last thing on the page)

I still don't know why you need to install the whole Direct X thing when in fact only d3dx9_43.dll fixes the problem. Still hasn't answered my question above.

StepMania 5.0.8 has been released, with various minor changes, mostly bug fixes from 5.0.7.
The Windows installer was generated slightly wrong. Make sure to install to "C:/Games/Stepmania 5.0", do not install to Program Files.
You can read the release notes on GitHub for more details, and the downloads are below the release notes.

Added submenus to the timing edit menu to allow shifting, copying, and pasting any or all timing segments in the selected region or after the current cursor position.
Revert From Disk actually works now.

Will be downloading shortly.
EDIT AFTER TESTING:
Hmm, there's some odd behavior going on in edit mode that I'm not sure what to make sense of. The initial scroll and bpm values are shown bumped down one beat, and all other stops / scroll / bpm / time signature changes vanish completely from the editor.

The expected (5.0.7) behavior is below.

I've tested this in default as well with the same results, so it isn't a theme-specific issue (initially tested on CyberiaStyle LAST APPROACH).

Thanks, I've fixed it in the source, but wolfman and other devs that could make a new windows/mac build have gone to sleep.
I'll leave a note for them to upload new packages in the morning.
