Bad charts to good songs

Infinite Prayer from DDR Extreme 2. It showed up in that game as a 9, but returned on DDR Universe 1 as a 7, thus replacing the Extreme 2 7 chart. The chart didn't exactly have as many 16th gallops as the song's rhythm said it should've. I would probably call it an 8 at best, but it needs improving.

Also, MAXX UNLIMITED 6. Does that look like a 6 to you? I've seen & done 7s & 8s easier than that. That chart should've never been there to begin with. So Deep is another one. The first part seems like a 3 or 4, while the last part seems a lot more like a 7 or even an 8. In short, it's a bad chart, because it's unbalanced.

Better than the second attempt on Festival, ruined the fake out. Could have been harder during the second half though.

I wanna mention Return of the Toe Jam Oni. This chart is good until you get to the very end of the chart that goes with a fiddle that can almost be considered silence. The other 4 charts cut off right before that part; why should Oni continue?

Another one I want to mention is BRIGHTNESS DARKNESS Expert. Konami made this chart much harder than it needed to be. Those 32nd gallops at the beginning of the chart? The song is 150 BPM! Some people don't move that fast. Also, that jump-stream right at the end of the chart is almost impossible for an average joe like me to do.

The final chart I want to mention in this post is CLASSIC PARTY triathlon Expert. I am mentioning this chart because of that slowdown is almost impossible to time correctly.

Though whether or not those are good songs is highly debatable. Luv To Me at the least is.

How can you bash one of the best Universe charts? It is definitely a tough 13 or an easy 14 X-scale chart though.

If you are gonna complain about any jump sequences in a Universe song, it's vertical . I like to think that chart was the inspiration for Second Heaven .

Vertical is awesome. Don't insult that one either.

Insult The Way You Move , although that song kinda sucks so it doesn't really fall into the category of this thread.

Max. (Period) ... give that song a different chart for ****'s sake! It just doesn't make any sense...

Why? I thought that was a decent chart, maybe a bit overly-hard if anything.

Deep In You and Perfect Free are still two of my all time favourite songs/charts ever. A little understepped, maybe, but what could you expect from pre-millennial DDR?

Also, can anyone REALLY dislike Dr. Love?

CLUB VERSiON is a very obscure DDR mix, but that's what makes it one of my personal favorites. And I agree, a lot of the stepcharts were not very good...although at the time, stepcharts were fairly awkward in DDR so that's why I kind of excuse it.
