I may or may not participate, I have many song ideas I wanna implement so don't count me out. An answer will probably show up at the 8th or 9th so...eh.

[Amateur's Week] - Step a song that is funny
[Hanneman's Week] - Step an american rock genre file. This can range from prog rock to anything that is rock related.
[Number's Week] - Step a song that has numbers in the lyrics. Cannot be the simple 1, 2, 3 chant.
[Vocaloid's Week] ._. Step a Vocaloid song, can be fanmade Vocaloid work.
[Annoyance Week] - Step a song that many find irritating and stupid. Like Gentleman
[Super Week] - Must be a song that contains super in it rather it be title, lyrics, or artist. Can be said in a different language, cannot be a simple edited super onto a background or a banner.. Ex: Supercell, Super Star

I guess I will throw in some ideas too.

[Folk Week] - only folk songs allowed.
[Foreign Vocal] - only foreign songs allowed, list of banned languages: English, Japanese, Korean.
[Forgotten Beats] - only songs from 70's, 80's and 90's.
[Why So Slowly] - songs with BPM lower than 70.
[Video Games] - only video games songs. Music from music games not allowed.
[Pop the pop] - no pop songs allowed.
[Gimmyck] - songs must contain at least 4 speed changes or pauses.
[Disney Evolved] - step one of new disney songs (from movies like High School Musical, Hannah Montana etc.)

Few more ideas:

Anti-Karaoke - You must step a song with vocals, but must NOT follow the vocals of the song.
Simfile Shuffle - Step a song from there.
Roulette - Random Stipulation chosen from a list
Doggystyle - Use of hands and or quads

All of these themes are too restrictive.

Make every week a free week.

A lot of these themes are too restrictive. It shouldn't be a chore searching for a song to fit for the week.,

As restrictive as these themes may be some of them sound fun
I'd love to see the return of 12th week or Offbeat again

For the most part, themes should allow for some ease as far as finding songs to step. If it really takes you a while to find something, then it might not be a good fit for a simfile competition with many people participating. That being said, I love some of these suggestions, very creative.

Zero-X stored Akira on Bill's PC (in a folder with tons of p**n files). And left him there... forever.

Anyway, I have a suggestion: you guys could decide and reveal all weekly themes right in the beginning of the contest, leaving the most restrictive to the end. This way...

1) People will have a lot of time to search for a song that fits the themes.
2) They can check their works in progress and finish some files sooner, especially if they know they'll be busy in future weeks (work, exams, etc).
3) If a theme gets massive disaproval from the contestants, you guys will have time to discuss and change it, without needing to stop or delay the contest.
