Your DDR Goals

Looking through my score pictures on my iPhone, I am currently filling in my score tracker.

My goal is to have a high score on all S- and S- songs in my local SuperNOVA. I am very, very close.

Get my 1st arcade PFC! and...
Get my own X3 dedicab. One can dream...

Those all seem achievable! Except the third one, sadly.. We'd all love that but unless you live in an Asian region and have a fairly large amount of money, you're out of luck, I know

Play more than twice a month? Just try get down to an arcade once a week if you can! I usually play about twice a week on the SuperNOVA at my local arcade.

1st arcade PFC? Well it takes a bit of practice but it's doable. Are there any songs you can AA/SDG every time you play? If there are, try to improve your scores on those songs. Are there any easy-ish songs you haven't played at the arcade yet? Give them all a try and go for PA every time, you might struggle to even AA some songs on your first try but every time you practice your PA improves, all it takes is a lucky run for that first AAA!

Sadly our local arcade only has DS feat Disney's Rave (LOL) and GFDM V8 (which I also play). The 2nd closest is a X2 which i play for like once or twice a month coz its a bit far :/

I can always see improvement on my skill because every time i play my scores get higher. Thanks for the advice!

And that is a bit problematic, the Disney cab wouldn't be the best DDR mix to play since, well, yeah..Disney lol. As for the X2, it's a bit further away but definitely worth it. Can't get up every week? Aim for 3 times a month for a while, and don't forget to have fun, try some new songs to improve your PA

In all the year's i've played DDR, i've NEVER been able to AAA any song on any difficulty on an official arcade mix. I can only AAA songs on home versions or Stepmania. The best i've ever done PA wise at the arcade was CSFIL (Speed Mix) on SN1 AC with 8 greats. Sadly, the only arcade I had in my town shut it's doors last year, so I don't have access to an official DDR AC mix anymore. Now I only have Stepmania to play with on a different cabinet at a different location. SM's just not the same as playing on an official mix. (but it's better than nothing )

My goal right now is reach 400 PFCs. Currently, I'm... 53 PFCs away.

-Somehow clean up my DanceMaster program, maybe use songs' BG art to make songs appear like CD covers horizontally aligned. Use a more fitting background than my Lord Toon one in it, so it looks something like EXTREME or X2 (or maybe even STARLiGHT).

-Finish rev. 2 of the BGAnimations pack, once I finish debugging some of it. Textless DDR Universe alt-BGs are a good addition, as well.

-Plug along in X2 PS2 until I get roppongi EVOLVED. (Also, screw PtF/DEGRS. And that slow-as-buttcheese Dice Master Mode. Endless mode randomly hammering me with PtF/DEGRS doesn't make things any better, and neither does the tracklist feeling so tiny. I'm basically knocking it out 20 songs at a time, and still have a few characters to bust out, too. I think DEGRS/PtF/KIMONO PRINCESS/roppongi are the only ones I have left to do... unless maybe CaptivAte ~chikai~ is on there.) Ahh, fuck it. I'm playing more Universe 3 instead!!

-I'd love to devise a way of putting Universe 3's Attack Mode and "Interval-Off Course Mode" in SM too... maybe implemented a little cleaner where mixing is concerned. Maybe have "Endless/Interval Off" just do intervals every 5 stages, kinda like combining that with DDR X's Endless Mode.

-Get better scores on 16-footers (arcade X2). At least As or better.

I'd trade all the machines I have here for something different. I do have an extreme which means waka laka,so deep, and witch doctor.

Well my goals are to get better at DDR 10s and pass a few more 9s as far as doubles is concerned. Can't I sue konami for writing bad note charts?

A teacher of mine once told me that one could sue someone for being ugly, but it doesn't guarantee the former will win the case;)


This is funny because I have two pfc arcade AAA's on light/basic, but I couldn't come close to sdging CSFILSM on home version let alone arcade -- I have yet to full-combo the song although I have come relatively close.

My main ddr goal was to pass as many songs as I can 1x no bar vivid because that is the way I started off playing, so I like to be consistent when tracking my progress (of course, I need the bar and speed modifiers for itg 10's and some 9's).

I know this would be more appropriate for the accomplishments thread, but since I mentioned it here, I guess I shall share some accomplishments. This year, I have managed to pass Drop Out, Healing Vision -Angelic Mix-, So Deep, On the Break, on the bounce and other nines 1x no bar vivid -- on the Max through EXTREME 2 US home versions, I have passed all nines except for Cartoon Heroes, and I believe I have passed all the non-boss song nines on the US SuperNOVA.

Another goal I had was to fill out scores with decent attempts for every song of every difficulty on all my home versions (too bad my pad broke recentlyT_T).

It would also be nice to pass Bag 1x on pad, but I always screw up. At least I can pass it 1x flat on hand controller

^ I know a number of players in their 40s (e.g. Akudaikan) and some in their 50s. Akudaikan can still MFC some easier songs and PFC the easier Expert/Heavy songs, so age isn't always the prime determining factor in skill

Though based on your profile, I think the bigger challenge will be seeing if there are any DDR machines near you in 9 years from now.


/me accomplishment many of his goals. MFC on something, over 1000 PFCs (actually over 1400 now), PFCs on more 10s. I guess right now my goal is to PFC a level 17 (18s are probably out of the question for me). Flower Challenge Double is probably a good one. That isn't much of a "17" though it would be neat to be able to say I PFCd a 17. That and just keep on playing as long as I can.

i turn 35 in a few months so i figure there is still a lot of improvements in ability i can make before i turn 40. i think buying my own itg dedicab will make that a reality. i'm right behind you boomba.

Beat Brilliant2U then move on to level 8s.


Also, teach some local kids DDR. We could always use some more dancers up Down East, and maybe the added interest will get some machines in more arcades around town (can not drive.)

Start playing in double mode, but I still find it difficult to play with soft pads.

Also pass Fascination Maxx , Pluto The First

And pass boss songs that have stepcharts!

Since I am in Japan for the next several weeks, I will try to get as many new PFCs on the new songs as I can (SP and DP). I think I can get 50, if not 100, PFCs in this time. Afterwards, I don't know if I will PFC anything ever again (in the US).

Oh, and constently get AA on 17s and A on 18s. Maybe I can enter TAKASKE's tournament that way.
