Make an Extra Stage system for DDR

I think my Extra Stage System was Simple. After Playing 3 Stages, if you got an AA grade, you can play another Three Stage and the songs difficulty are harder each extra play. And, There's a records that save your last stage number beside saving your score.

CHROMATIC DANCEFLOOR AKA I totally stole this idea from Virtue's Last Reward
If you get a total of at least 2.5 million points across three songs, you can enter the Chromatic Dancefloor instead of going to a traditional extra stage. From there, you can pick one of three songs, and the songs you can play for the EES depends on which of these songs you play. (Note: All challenge charts are locked until the songs are available for normal play.)

Airwave / TAG / 188 BPM / 3/7/11/14/15
C12H22O11 / Starving Trancer / 155 BPM / 4/8/10/14/15
Over Time / Sota Fujimori / 196 BPM / 5/7/9/14/16

If you get a AA or better on Airwave:
The Looking Glass / Dirty Androids / 90-180 BPM / 5/8/12/15/17
Color And Sound / Tatsh / 200 BPM / 4/9/11/15/16
DE::STRUCTURE / L.E.D.-G / 256 BPM / 5/9/14/16/18 (requires AAA to unlock)

If you get a AA or better on C12H22O11:
Chained / kors k / 35-140 BPM / 3/6/12/15/17
Raining Fire / 猫叉Master+ / 140-174 BPM / 4/8/11/16/17
ETHNICUS / MAX MAXIMIZER / 200-400 BPM / 5/9/13/16/18 (requires AAA to unlock)

If you get a AA or better on Over Time:
axolotl / S-C-U / 190 BPM / 4/7/11/15/16
Maelstrom / DJ TOTTO / 166 BPM / 3/8/12/15/17
Deuteronomy / PRASTIK DANCEFLOOR / 228 BPM / 5/9/13/16/18 (requires AAA to unlock)

Once all nine Encore Extra Stages have been cleared, the Premium Encore Stage opens up.
CHROMATIC / UltraViolet (dj TAKA vs. Ryu☆) / 222-444 BPM / 9/11/14/17/19

Once CHROMATIC is cleared, all the songs in the Chromatic Dancefloor folder unlock for normal play, along with their :cha: charts.

Of course they shouldn't be able to "catch up" if they don't invest more time into the game than hardcore players


Judging how ridiculous some of these ES/OMES ideas are you should all just start playing ITG instead of dreaming up X-scale 20's

My proposal:
Final Stage: AA any heavy song
ES: AA any oni song
OMES: Mad Matt saying "DDR is gay" on repeat for one minute and thirty seconds. This song will be 300bpm and will be an unbroken steam of crossovers

Quick question before I post mine: Does it have to be exclusive to DDR, or can it be on different BEMANI series as well?

My Extra Stage system is an unlock event with elements from Stellar Master Mode from Supernova CS & Triple Journey with more of an adventure theme to it. I will call it Journey to The Lost Bosses. They will be 10 boss songs to be unlocked within a month with two being unlocked each week. A mission will be given to you before a new boss song is available on extra stage & you must figure out what to play to unlock one boss song as an extra stage. If you clear it with an AA or AAA, you will receive a prophecy which will unlock the 10th boss song at the end. The harder the missions are, the harder the boss songs get.

First Mission
- Play 3 songs on or (Any options)
Boss Unlocked: 地獄のペガサス/ 少年のラビリンス

Second Mission
- Play 3 songs on with following options: Speed (1.5x) & Boost (On)
Boss Unlocked: CRYPTONIC RACE/ 96

Third Mission
- Play 2 songs on with following options: Speed (2x) & Note (Rainbow)
- Play Monkey Business as the Final Stage on with following options: Speed (2.5x) & Invisible (On)
Boss Unlocked: Infinite Midnight/ kors k feat. K.H.

Fourth Mission
- Play 2 songs on with following options: Speed (2.5x) & Note (Flat)
- Play Final Stage on with a level 15 rating with following options: Speed (3.0x), Arrow (Down), & Death (Sudden)
Boss Unlocked: Lucky Virus/ Risk Junk

Fifth Mission
- Play 2 Songs on with a level 15 rating with following options: Sudden (Reborn), Boost (On), & Note (Flat)
- Play Final Stage on with a level 16 rating with following options: Arrow (Right), Jump (Off), & Reverse (On)
Boss Unlocked: Pandora/ DJ TOTTO

Sixth Mission
- Play 1 Song on with a 15 rating with following options: Speed (2.5x), Note (Flat), & Boost (On)
- Play 1 Song on with a 16 rating with following options: Reverse (On)
- Play any DJ YOSHITAKA song as the Final Stage on (no options)
Boss Unlocked: MONOS/ DJ YOSHITAKA

Seventh Mission
- Play Shiny World on with the following options: Speed (3.5x), Reverse (On)
- Play Another Phase on with the following options: Boost (On), Arrow (Flat), & Invisible (On)
- Play Revolutionary Addict as the Final Stage on with following options: Arrow (Cut), Boost (On), Reverse (On), & Invisible (On)
Boss Unlocked: The Seventh Chakra/ Capacity Gate UNDERGROUND

Eighth Mission
- Play 1 song on with level 17 rating with the following options: Speed (2.5x), Sudden (Death), Arrow (Right), & Note (Rainbow)
- Play 1 song on with a level 17 rating with following options: Reverse (On) & Invisible (On)
- Play Final Stage on with a level 18 rating (no options)
Boss Unlocked: Silver Striker Gauntlet/ Dj Max STEROID vs. DJ Mass MAD Izm*

Ninth Mission
- Play Sakura Storm on with the following options: Speed (4.5x), Sudden (Death), Boost (On), Note (Flat), & Invisible (On)
- Play any song on with a level 18 rating with the following options: Speed (5.0x), Sudden (Reborn), & Note (Note)
- Play Trip Machine Evolution as the Final Stage on with the following options: Jump (Off) & Reverse (On)
Boss Unlocked: Supernova On Fire: 雷龍

Final Mission
- Play POSESSION on with the following options: Speed (5.0x) & Note (Flat)
- Play Trip Machine Evolution on with the following options: Speed (5.0x), Note (Rainbow),& Boost (On)
- Play Valkyrie dimension as the Final Stage on with the following options: Speed (5.0x), Reverse (On), Boost (On), Sudden (Death), & Invisible (On)

COLOR FACTORY (forgive me i'm not good at naming things)

earn an EXTRA STAGE in the regular way, and you can choose any song or enter a new folder called COLOR FACTORY.
there are 7 songs to choose from:
Red: Painful Pleasure / nc ft. 触電
Orange: Cliff's edge / 猫叉Master
Yellow: Galactic Starburst / Sota F.
Green: 720.FM / Ryu☆
Blue: Tifone / DJ TOTTO
Indigo: WORMS / 96
Violet: Vortical Complex / kors k

if you pass songs from COLOR FACTORY, they unlock for normal play (on the difficulties you cleared). after, all the songs are replaced with two ENCORE EXTRA STAGE songs:
Black: 寺庭園 / 葉
White: 完璧 / うさぎピアノ

once you pass all the EXTRA STAGE and ENCORE EXTRA STAGE songs, a new song appears on ENCORE EXTRA STAGE only:
Rainbow: POLYCHROMATIC STATION / コナミ573形電車

to unlock this song just get a AAA.

I don't hate DDR nor am I bashing the game as a whole. It just blows my mind that people think these ES/OMES ideas would actually be fun or interesting at all.

ES/OMES should (at least give the opportunity to) push a players' stamina and footspeed ability to the absolute limit, not test their ability to memorize boss charts because being forced to play at 1.5x reverse makes it lolhardXD. <--completely removes all motivation to care about the upcoming song/score completely

Good:
-Hidden songs
-Hidden mods

Bad:
-Forced anything
-Unnecessarily strict requirements to advance

It blows my mind too, but that's just an opinion...

Leave them to be creative.

Here's my idea; it's not much but I'll flesh it out later. Basically it's kind of puzzle oriented like Triple Journey and there's a little gauge you have to fill up like in Private BEMANI Academy to unlock each phase and maybe playing other BEMANI games speeds up filling the gauge (and in turn unlocks these songs for play on the other games) I don't know I am legit pulling this out of my ass so my entire post isn't me calling tj28 out

Phase 1 ES: 紫の扉 / U1 overground / 160-252 BPM / 3-8-11-16
Phase 2 ES: Check It Out / Expander / 171 BPM / 5-7-13-16
Phase 3 ES: SHOCKWAVE / GUHROOVY / 398 BPM / 6-9-15-17

Phase Final ES: ursa minor / S-C-U × DJ TOTTO / 95-190 BPM / 4-9-14-17-18

damn you guys are very hostile towards anything pro-ITG. I don't see the big deal with me not liking most of the DDR boss songs. Again, I don't hate DDR, I enjoy playing cheesy jpop just as much as the next guy.

The ideas in this thread (play THIS song on THESE settings and get THIS score then get a AA on this overly-technical boss song while on THESE mods!!!!) are the exact reason why hardcore players stray away from DDR.
I guess I'm just very surprised that instead of realizing this age-old problem many of you have blind faith that Konami knows exactly what {people who can get ES/OMES} want and has engraved this so much that you truly believe that playing VD on battery with 5x, sudden, reverse, mini, and flat is exactly what good players want to do.

I'm beating a dead horse though, nothing I said hasn't been said in the past. This'll be my last post in this thread, so take my opinion with a gain of salt if you will.

People just don't like it when others have conflicting thoughts. Not your fault.
