Wow...

This morning I unlocked Big Ball Monster.

I just unlocked U4D.

Let's see if I can get to A5Z before the day is over.

EDIT: Okay, now the Crack System interface won't load at all. Apparently the server "actively refused" the connection (from the log.txt). It was saying that before, too, when I tried to submit my scores to IR, but Crack System could still open.

Unfortunately, I'm away from my PC and can't check on Crack System. I'd kill for a Mac-compatible PF5.

Okay, what? Crack System successfully opens on an older copy of Panzer Force I had. I really hope I don't have to start over. D:

EDIT: Oh god. I just realized that I edited my Stats.xml to say "note" instead of "noteplus" because I thought that was causing the IR submission problem. I hope I didn't break anything D8

EDIT 2: Um...do either of you have screen recording software, and if so, would you mind recording an Autoplay video of A5Z and sending it to me along with the mp3? I understand if you don't want to.

EDIT 3: I'm fairly sure that Crack System is locking me out because of the aforementioned Stats.xml editing. Time to wait for April, I guess.

Found out the problem with Cyber Hong Kong; The update altered the S- chart to have a note on measure 274. Delete it in edit mode, and it should be fine.

Can you guys explain what this is? It sounds interesting, lol.

Basically, it's a song pack with a specialized unlock system based on both playing X amount of songs and getting good grades. It also has an online score tracker. Grab it from the website if you want to give it a go.
Forgot to mention that it also comes with a theme, with switchable BGM (the default stuff isn't very good IMO) and frames during gameplay.

If I just download the package from the download button am I good?

Yeah, that'll be fine. Just a heads-up though, the pack is GIGANTIC (over a gigabyte).

You have to put it over a (preferably unused) vanilla 3.9. Stuff like 3.9+ Redux won't work, since it won't be able to read the scores.

You might want to open up Crack System first (PF5Toolkit/start.exe) as that will unlock all the update songs and previous extra stages, or you can go ahead and play.

Okay, dj Extrose disappeared off Twitter, and now the Stoic Sounds site is down. What's going on?

I'm not sure, but his SoundCloud has been taken down as well (as far as I last checked). According to a tweet from gmtn. on the 19th, it seems Extrose may have 'retired from online activity', which isn't overly surprising (considering that he tends to take down his entries in BMS events rather quickly after the event ends), but is still annoying, especially since he didn't finish Panzer Force 5th mix.

I don't know why exactly he did it (or why he took down the BMS entries in the past), though gmtn. did have a tweet linking to a page that is related, but as it's on Stoic Sounds, it has to be viewed on something like Google's Cache now.
EDIT: I have also saved that message to my computer, since I can't really translate it, and I don't know how long Google's Cache will keep the page.

As of a day or two ago, Panzer Force 5th mix is available to download again as Panzer Force 5thMix -protect of program- with DEATH LABEL. The internet ranking isn't there anymore, but all of the unlockable songs and courses are there, along with a few bonuses (including some of the Weekly Ranking exclusives and a few new songs/courses).

However, carelessly overwriting is probably a bad idea. I've noticed that dolls wish and Black Stars are missing (I do not know if Black Stars is the old one or new one it's the old one...). A Beautiful Wings and poizen covweb are there though, so we may not have lost any good charts.
Also, the 魔界 (Makai) course is supposed to have a 4th song (seemingly an exclusive chart), but the song is not there. X909 is also (probably mistakenly) tagged as not selectable.

It's funny how I went from "I'm going to play THE SHIT out of this pack" to "wow, this fucking blows" in a matter of months.
I'll probably download it just so I can see if there's truly a light at the end of the tunnel.
