But, Konami must rerated again for some songs that still misrated.

Too bad if Afronova NSMM rated at 10 while Shades of Grey that actually easier than Afronova NSMM but rated at 11.

Just for my input, I go for Old DDR Scale, there is a purpose for it. The reason behind the scales was because most songs in the original DDR lasted for 1:30 a piece that was the maximum for most. ITG,DDR X, and some DDR UNIVERSE song packs go about 1:30 to 1:40 and even 2:14 for boss songs. Which HENCE why the DDR X scale since it's OVER 1:30 to 2:14 has bigger scalling than the original.

So Original Scale for me! hehehehe

Once you get past 9-footers, I don't think there's any point trying to quantify one 10-footer being harder than any other 10-footer. Everything in that bracket is difficult for different reasons, and it's very hard to pin down which are universally considered harder than others.

According to Pandy it's a little more complicated than that. Which is why it's a different scale than the original DDR scale.

Some songs I would call a nine on the old DDR scale are rated 10 and what would be 10s are split up among three to four different ratings. I've been told Groovestats has a detailed system in place, but other than the top-level songs I haven't been able to rationalize a difference between ITG and old DDR ratings. Me and other ITG players I know just regard it as a fixed 1-10 scale.

Mungyodance is probably the best, as hellrazor said, it's the most logical.

I'm calling the X-scale, It's a bit more accurate-ish without overdoing it.
It provides one with a little more DDR clout than the original scale so that when the time comes
one could say "hey I passed a mutha fukkin 20 footer dude! i'm a total BADASS!" providing they also show video proof of their
accomplishment

VD Oni is actually an 11 in the old scale. I Prefer the ITG scale, it's like a mix between the classic and the X, it gives a better rank to the 10-footer songs (10 to 14/15)

There was no 11 on the old scale. It stopped at 10. Unless you're referring to "flashing 10s".

10 footer limit was 18 in X scale, maybe the new rates 19-20 would be 11 and 12 in the old scale. Anyways, the classical scale had to change, Do you guys remember Pluto Relinquish in SN2? 4/9/10/10/10 O:

For DDR X I would've preferred that they use a 1-12 scale rather than the current 1-20 scale. Ratings above 10 would be much broader than the ITG versions though. Stuff in between Max 300 SMMM and MAXX UNLIMITED (X-Special) difficulty would be ideal 11s and anything above that would be a 12.

My main complaints with the current X scale are that most songs on Expert are in the lower half or only slightly above the halfway mark, and that the ceiling for the highest rating is too high. Nobody really wants to see a 19 or 20 footer at this point.
