In all honesty I am pretty mad that its gone too. Me and my friends used to battle each other by playing the doubles charts. I always lost but it was a lot of fun I don't think I will have much time to work on the rest of this tomorrow (aka today) but on Sunday I will likely have some time. When I finish I am going to work on a nice organized list for each mix. The major point of this thread is to find what songs you HAVE to play on each mix before each song is gone. For those of you wondering this is the order you should play the songs...

i guess these songs unfairly deleted. for Luv to Me AMD mix, i can accept some people's reason that Reo Nagumo had out from konami, but why deleted ? there are Naoki's part for this song, so does for Gentle Stress too (because i'd see this from Vj Army)

Matsuri japan & Midnite Blaze too. I complained that this song unfairly deleted.

STAY (Tess Version), A Minute (X-Treme version), Drifting Away, More than I Need To Know, So Fabulous are exclusive at DDRMAX2

Follow Me & Flash In The Night are exclusive at DDRMAX. I doubt for FireFly.

LUV TO ME (AMD mix) was removed because it's originally composed by Reo Nagumo, so it made sense from a legal standpoint to remove it. Despite Naoki redoing it, it still belongs to Nagumo.

Not sure exactly about Gentle Stress' problem, considering, AFAIK, Keiichi Ueno hasn't left Konami.

First up - there's a mistake in your list: "Strictly Business" isn't from 1st mix, it is a DDR 2ndMIX song (from HARD mode). It is present in DDR 3rdMIX ver.KOREA, ver.KOREA 2 and ver.JAPAN (but missing from ver.ASIA) - you find it under 2ndMIX mode in the game.

Whilst on the topic of 2ndMIX: 2ndMIX had the amazing(ly simple) "STEP BATTLE" charts in 2 player mode ("Keep on Movin'","Let Them Move", "20, November (DDR ver)", featuring "blank" steps that you could hit anything to, so long as it was in time. All the songs exist in other mixes, but the weird charts do not, AFAIK.

2ndMIX link version and 2ndMIX club version are kinda side versions - the club version was a second mix that allowed for IIDX (Club ver.1)/IIDX substream (Club ver.2) to be linked up to DDR at the same time, but the audio comes from these IIDX songs.

2ndMIX link was the same as 2ndMIX, with the addition of memory card slots and:
* "El Ritmo Tropical" (in EASY/NORMAL mode)
* "Love" (in HARD mode)
* "Make a Jam!" (in EASY/NORMAL mode)
* "Paranoia KCET ~Clean Mix~"
* "Tubthumping" (in HARD mode)

(All of which made it onto 3rdMIX IIRC)

2ndMIX club (ver.1) had the normal 2ndMIX (non-Link ver.) songlist when standalone, which was replaced with the following songlist when hooked up to a IIDX substream machine:

I've never seen a setup, but I understand that songs were selected by the players on the beatmania IIDX machine, with the DDR players only being able to play a single stepchart in either single or double mode for each song.

Aside from that possibility, none of these made it onto 3rdMIX (but a few were revived for EXTREME - "5.1.1", "Be in my paradise", "celebrate", "DR. LOVE", "e-motion", "GENOM SCREAMS", "jam jam reggae", "LUV TO ME (disco mix)", "R3" and "ska a go go")

Chi : there are 2 versions of let the beat hit 'em, let the beat hit 'em and IIDX version. AFAIK, all songs at DDR Solo series also appears at DDR Extra Mix.

then.. for Freckles (KCP Re-Edit), actually, yes deleted at arcade version (maybe), but i ever see that this song also appears at NA PS2 version if i'm not wrong.

I'll add, Conga Feeling was revived at MAX2 NA PS2 & Party Collection, but deleted from SN version.

Er, wasn't Strictly Business present in DDR 3rd Mix Asia? I remember that it replaced Stomp to my Beat since that song wasn't there. Also Strictly Business is a DDR 1st Mix song.

Strictly Business is NOT on 3rd Mix PLUS which means its NOT on 3rd Mix (3rd PLUS only added songs). And As DarkFeline posted it is on 1st Mix.

Oops, you are all correct on the Strictly-Business-on-the-first-mix-of-DDR-front: you are entirely right, it's right there on HARD mode on both the Japanese IR and Asian versions of DDR (can't check the original Japanese release). I guess I should probably flash first mix onto the machine and pay it a bit more (I've never seen the point seeing as 2ndMIX has everything from it).

I will, however, reiterate the rest of it: "Strictly Business" is definitely on all varieties of 2ndMIX, and I have physically played it on 3rdMIX Japan (ver.JAA), as well as on version KOREA 2 (ver.KAB) - and have checked the first ver.KOREA and the terrible ver.ASIA as well.

It is in 2ndMIX mode (press LLRR at the title screen - for some reason the JAA mix doesn't tell you you can do this unlike all the other versions, but it is there), situated between "If You Were Here" and "Dub I Dub."

You are right that it is missing from 3rdMIX PLUS though (I'd never bothered playing that mix until checking this earlier).


Yes, you are right it was - my mistake (again). So it appears it is present in the 2ndMIX mode of all 3rdMIX versions, but not 3rdMIX PLUS.

Okay so Strictly Business was on 2nd and 3rd... But not on 3rd Plus...? Did I get that right now this time? I am NOT gonna worry about asia and korean versions unless there are songs that are exclusive to that mix or songs that were exclusively revived for that mix... Considering to my knowledge those regions stopped getting weird versions of DDR after 4th or didn't get any DDR games at all.

That goes for exclusives as well. It really is pointless because its been well known that the licensed songs never carry over to the next game or any other games for that matter.
