I could've gotten Dance Factory for the same amount but I didn't want to get it mainly because I don't have that many CDs that i'd want to dance to (unless it works with burned discs) and also because it just seems weird.
It worked with burned discs for me. Same here. But honestly... "DancingMonkeys" made better stepcharts, and they were better-synched as well. Plus, that thing ate about an entire memory card per album; and didn't even differenciate the steps between songs. I think it used a total of 5 charts (IE: the ones provided with the 5 in-game songs); just copypasted with altered tempos, and NO bpm-shifting or pausing at all. So if you had a song with live-BPMs, accelerado/decelerado, or any alternate pacing at all... you're screwed.
:? As for me? I got a digital TV and a PS3 that apart from a few titles... I thought I would enjoy having a lot more than I think I have. The original plan was to expand my gaming library, and use the TV to bridge between my computer and console... so I could use "WatchMeDance" mode on DDR, and then record that to my computer (which the digiTV puts on a totally seperate channel/feed, thanks for that warning). And I sold my old analog TV for the cash to cover part of it (which was probably my mistake, right there).
What it DID accomplish was completely desynching my video by about a second and a half, so that even with "Game Mode" enabled, my entire library of PS2 stuff - while it still technically "works," is totally unplayable (apart from GH/RB and DJ Hero, which can A/V-calibrate). This means now that I'm living in a place of my own, where I *CAN* break out my dance pads, there's really not much I can do with them anymore.
DDR PS3 is "meh" at best; it's sad that the "best feature" of the game is buying 30 tracks THAT I ALREADY OWN; and not even ONE pack is available for Wii/360 material AT ALL (I would LOVE to play me some Ultramix/Universe tracks, or some of HP's DDR remixes and the other *EVOLVED songs!). It's ALL stuff I've already played before, and the title itself suffers from all the same things I disliked about X2 (PS2), only without Edit Mode included to even TRY to make good charts for the decent selection of licensed pop songs.
At least it comes with a USB Dance Pad that I can configure in SM; which DOES work on my computer, too!

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit for PS3 was definitely a bad purchase. I've played it maybe 2 or 3 times since I bought it. I could find enjoyment in the previous games like Shift and Undercover, but this one just bores me to sleep. It just feels so blah compared to everything else in the series. It's even worse than ProStreet.

III: Hot Pursuit was my favorite game back when the PS1 was alive.

I have this $30 portable TV tuner. It works great and all and I've used it a lot now...
...the only thing is that I bought it out of grief and destroyed my emergency stash. I want my $30 back and my grief gone. I still can't shake off the feeling.

"Wow, 4 types of corn!" |
Even though this was ages ago...
Boulder Dash Construction Kit for the Atari 800XL (yes, this was in the mid 80s). It was $50 or so at the time. I loved Boulder Dash at the time but we also just got a new Amiga computer in the house for Xmas the past year. It blew everything the Atari could do away and then some and we were already digging the games at the time. I thought I would get some serious enjoyment out of it since I did like "make your own" type of games like Pinball Construction Set and Racing Destruction Set and also since the rest of the house would hog the Amiga, I figured I could get some more use out of the good 'ol Atari and trade levels with my cousin, except he's abandoned his Atari to other PCs as well. In reality I played it for a few days and that was the last I played of it.
A distant 2nd, 3rd, etc. would be the random crap they sell here in the movie theater lobby to promote the films playing. When am I going to use a Lord of the Rings money clip?
