I downloaded Alejandro and the BGChange was screwed up.

I looked at the .sm file and there's a change at 120.000=black.png. I couldn't find any file called black.png...

When simfiles are uploaded, the actual file names change and such.
Just change the bg to what ever is in the file that fits what is to actually be there.

Here, have fun. Now, be careful when saving this, the file name could have been changed. We don't want to have a missing file because that would be BAD.

This was ALSO in the .sm file, thus there are two BG images but the simfile only had ONE which may have been renamed.

Actual file name is Nothin' On You-bg.png

There is a similar problem with the BG Video, it doesn't play until I renamed it to

There's a Beginner Couples chart that has ONE step on bar 47 (the song stops on bar 31 so in StepMania there's no steps and no audio until bar 47, it's a 40 second wait with NOTHING. So this Beginner Couples chart causes an error. This same step is in the Solo steps, the Pump steps, etc (what's with all these strange useless stepcharts?).

And both videos were slightly behind the audio.

Hope this helps you in some way Chewie, great song choices, and nice steps / videos etc, just work on the simfile formatting.

3.9+ autogens extra stepcharts if you have AutoGen turned on. This happened to me when I was working on Rhythms Inside's Challenge chart.

I told him to turn AutoGen off in "Other Options", but he wouldn't listen.

Why would you play a Beginner chart anyway?

That's quite true, but in this case those BROKEN charts do nothing but make you wait 40 seconds from the end of the song until it's Song Over since your waiting for Bar 47 which StepMania thinks is the end of the stepchart because of those broken charts. If you remove them all then the song will end at Bar 31 and you won't have to stand there looking like an idiot waiting for the results screen.

Doesn't SM 3.9+ or REDUX autogenerate charts when you save, at least for Beginner or the first saved chart? Just throwing that in the air.

I know that there are extra charts in that and other simfiles, but AutoGen is not the cause.

If there stuff in a simfile someone else uploaded that I don't want I just manually edit it out. Chewy edits with 3.95+ and that version of StepMania assumes you want to make every chart for every play style, not his fault.

In this case the other charts cause a problem in StepMania. Should everyone who downloads the file be expected to fix an error, or should she play-test files and make sure they work before uploading?

I created a new .SM file and copied in the Dance-Singles and Dance-Doubles because those are the only functional charts, this should be done by the simfile creator. Taking a break to fix a problem is not a bad decision, good luck.
