And I just tried to fight Brock. It doesn't work. I even tried the VS Seeker. I guess it's in Emerald then.

It is in Emerald. I remembered that because you could call the gym leaders and other trainers like you could in Gold and Silver to possibly get a rematch. I was surprised that the phone was revived in Emerald, though.

Outside of that, the only other game I am sure of that you can fight gym leaders again is in Platinum.

I still haven't beaten Platinum version, haha. When I pick up my DS, I usually grab the daily items in Diamond (mainly the lottery and the two berries; I finally maxed out the massage contest items). I still have to beat the Smart and Beauty contests to get the rest of the Underground base trophies. After that I'll have to find the patience for a 100 win streak, and for getting through Emerald's facilities too @_@

Same here; I am still working to beat the league in Platinum. I do the same thing in Pearl each day (Lotto and berries) just because I am only playing Platinum. I have yet to speak to a single person underground, though. (Hence, I don't have my own Spritomb... )

I'm probably getting Soul Silver. They also better still allow you to go in between Kanto and Johto. If they don't, I can predict that there's going to be heads flying.

I don't think they'll remove one of the most coveted features
I'll be getting HeartGold, just for nostalgia's sake since I had Gold at first.

It'd be nice if they did the alternate sprites per version thing again too. But I'm just ecstatic that it's been announced so far.
