"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana"
Honestly, I never use the bar and I have no problem doing the patterns in X's stepcharts. Although I don't have HP2, I can tell by looking at stuff like SILVER DREAM that I would have a not-so-enjoyable time with some of the charts.

As for this mix, as UG noted, me and him had a conversation about this (Yes, he predicted it being on the Wii! Tongue) and he informed me that there exists Disney covers of all these songs like the ones in Disney Channel Edition did. So if you're hoping for Eurobeat Disney, you might be disappointed.

Still, I want to hear A Spoonful of Sugar.

I didn't say I had trouble doing the charts, I've done most of them. I just said I don't enjoy doing them.

I meant 'problem' as in weird patterns and such, not necessarily passing the charts.

how is everyone complaining about double stepping in HP2 but no one complains about the saber wing remix that has double steps in the death run?

So are we expecting all covers/mostly covers/all originals?

Also, I always seems to hear loads of players rave about the old Disney mix and it's songs which I find somewhat amusing.
You just wouldn't think a small DDR game based around Disney to do so well when such things usually turn out to be poor cop-outs.

X and HP2 were dissapointments sure...
If you call those disappointments (to call X one is an exaggeration; it could be the best PS2 game), we must have bawled out our eyes at SN and SN2. I just LOVE when we the highest rating on our meter is merely "disappointment". Roll Eyes

I'm expecting a mix, but some of those songs on the masterlist are from a rap CD Disney put out back in the day. http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Mickey%20Unrapped:1921158120" target="_blank">Click here to hear samples of some of the songs that are on the master list, I'm too tired and lazy right now to type them all out, so if anyone wants to do it for me, be my guest!

The praise that Disney's RAVE gets these days is completely ridiculous. People HATED that game back in the day. I used to hear it all! "This music is shitty!", "Where are Maniac steps?!" and "NOT ENOUGH SONGS!!" and then when the Maniac steps finally showed up in the localized release "THIS ISN'T HARD ENOUGH!!" and "THIS ISN'T A REAL 10 BECAUSE I SAID SO!!"

I'll play the devil's advocate and say that most of the crowd in BEMANILand these days is much different than what it was. So maybe the kids really do like it now. (I really doubt it though! lol I think people just don't want to admit they may have watched High School Musical and might actually want to play a DDR that has music from it!)

"Gimme a mothaf----n' break!"
I was never really a fan of the Disney DDR games, because quite frankly, I thought the first one on the Playstation was nothing special, and I only like two songs on it, I didn't like any of the songs that were on the N64 game, and same with DDR Disney Channel Edition. But that doesn't mean that I want this one to be bad either. It would be nice if Konami can pull off a good Disney mix, and hopefully this one can be special.

i remember what youre talking about, and agree that there are a ton of people who have clearly shifted opinions, but i always liked disney mix and thought it had real potential to be one of the best games if just a bit more time had been put into it. the songs themselves, and the step charts are amazingly good IMO, with a decent amount of KOs to make the song list shine. its downfall for me was that it seems little to no time was spent with syncing and scoring, and that they made the arrows nearly transparent(compare the disney mix note skin to any other note skin in its time, wtf?).

i loved the original enough to buy all 3 versions(DDR Disney Mix, DDR Disney's Rave, and DS Disney's Rave), and i hope that in terms of step chart quality and song quality this lives up to the original. i also hope they fix the grading and note skin, and take the positive points from disney channel edition and scrap the negative points. basically, i have the same hopes for this that i have for Uni3. fix the engine, but keep song/step quality.

ddrx was a dissapointment cause there were no crossovers, shock arrows fail, no 20 step song, no revivals (of songs we still havent gotten yet), still missing some SN2 songs and crappy licenses. hp2 was a dissapointment cause they didnt put all the mods in, the groove arena is still boring as hell, the boss songs suck shit (stepwise), hp1 had better licenses and they still didnt fucking put edit support nor did they add doubles. I mean seriously, wtf!? they were both good ddr games sure, but you cant deny they were fucking dissapointments.

I honestly didn't find HP2 to be a disappointment. I was a little disappointed in X, though, but I still like it.

I actually prefer Groove arena/circuit to all other mission modes. Why? Because I can play any song I have unlocked for the first challenge of each area, and I can always play on expert. I don't have to suffer through 2/3 of the mission mode playing charts that are far below my skill level.

yeah, but theres no freaking challenge at all. the missions are like "clear a song on heavy" or "clear a song with an A" or something. theres nothing like that one challenge in SN2 (I think) where you have it set up like doubles but the pad uses both sides and it fucks with your mind; nothing cool like that
