I believe the Dancers/Stages system also ignores the offsets for videos and plays them at beat 0 anyway (if the video is displayed on a stage, that is). A solution I made for this is to use a video editing program to offset the video so that it is more on sync with the music. Or edit the simfile's audio and beat 0 BPM to put the video on sync (usually by adding or deleting milliseconds of measure 0 silence). However, the latter approach often has me insert measure 0 BPMs that are either much higher or much lower than the song's actual starting BPM.

As for the grade score cut-offs, it just might be a StepMania limitation as it still relies on Dance Points/grade percentages. I have gotten borderline low 990,000 scores before and only gotten AA+ instead of AAA for that exact reason.

You mean 5.0.12, right?

The characters go in the Characters folder that is created by default in Stepmania when you install it. The stages, just unzip that to the Stepmania folder where Characters, Songs, Themes, etc. are.

I did that but even so the background continues to appear on a black screen and neither the dancer nor the dancing stage appears

Yeah someone else pointed out that Encisso updated his GitHub. It was mentioned on the first page that you’ll get a black screen if you aren’t using the November Update specifically. You’ll need the November Update, not what’s on the GitHub now.

and how do i get the november update??? if it was from last year, if not I will have to wait until November to make it work since the SNCharacters method takes up a lot of space on my pc

I’m sure it is a Stepmania limitation but 897k isn’t that low of a AA- but it gave me an A+. 953k is fairly low for AA+, I could see what you’re saying affecting that one. You don’t necessarily need to watch the videos to see it, the thumbnails have the scores.

i don't know how to do a proper changelog so here is some highlights for this update:

- Added new textures to difficult selection (thank god... it was bugging me the heck out)
- Added new judgement and number textures on gameplay screen to match the new arcade ones
- Added some missing textures
- General code optimizations

This update is great! Loving it.

However, I have two issues:

1. All arrow symbols ("←", "↓", "↑", and "→") are wrongly showing up as hiragana for some reason.


2. During gameplay, my speed mod keeps changing up and down, which easily causes me to lose combo due to how distracting it is. This might be an OutFox problem though (the version I use is Alpha date-20220327).
