From what the local Round1 tech is telling me, the Valkyrie cabs for US locations seem to be specifically made for the US. They have specific connections for "swiper", IE card swiper, and certain parts of the internals are different from the JP/Asia versions.
Between this, and lightning model/dance around being U region, and A3 on gold cab allowing Premium Credit...seems maybe Konami is warming up to the US market.

Because America has a US server for this game and we can access the event as well. Same goes for IIDX too. We've had US servers for specific Bemani games for a while now. You didn't know?

This is the first X-record event to pop up since Valkyrie cabinets arrived at US Round1s. The previous two rounds, we didn't have those, so the events required an unreasonable amount of play on the IIDX lightning cabs to get the songs for that side, and the SDVX songs weren't accessible since they were Valk cab only.
