I was yeah. Konami will probably end up releasing unlock codes for them to get event songs I guess.

No.
They won't.
That would require an update that made the game have unlock codes.
Updates are done via eAmuse.

So buying a new European DDR A machine (with the eAmuse service) is worth 19 grand in US Dollars. Woof. If you saved 2-3 more grand, you can buy a new car. >>
Here's hoping the operators will get their money's worth and have plenty of people playing it like so many people have at R1 locations, I'm still wondering how updates are going to be done via eAmuse to the locations whose operator is unfortunate enough to not include the service in their machines (USB sticks a la PIU, maybe?) . >>

How can the updates be done via eAmuse if the operator doesn't choose the option of adding the eAmuse network to their machine? I don't know how I can possibly explain this any other way, and I'm sure that's what everyone else has been asking.
There has to be an alternative method of updating the firmware, otherwise you'll have something like Groove Coaster where it's not gonna update at all (or in GC's case, not be translated to English) unless they contact the publisher/distributor and get servers.

You don't get a CHOICE of adding the eAmuse network to the machine. It simply doesn't work right now, and won't for a very long time. Without it, no events, no leaderboards, no updates.

This is exactly what will happen. In the US, DDR A machines that aren't connected to the internet for whatever reason simply don't get the updates. Konami isn't gonna go out of their way to make patches on hard drives and ship them to arcades.

If I understand correctly, a DDR A machine that's never connected to the internet will be stuck with the default songlist forever, and will never have any Premium Play options including Extra Stage.

Wasn't sure if "events, leaderboards, and updates" included regular Extra Stage.

According to our source, roughly 18 machines have been ordered and the e-Amusement network fee is priced at £240 (~$320.00) for arcades and it’s completely optional to buyers after paying the hefty £14,000 (~$18,700.00) price tag.
That's why I asked if there was a different method of receiving updates, and is most likely why other people have been asking similar questions. Europe might be the only region where eAmuse isn't mandatory for these machines (then again, we have yet to see arcades outside of R1 and D&B buy a machine, so I can't really say if the way Konami/Unania would do it would be similar to how Electrocoin is distributing the machines). >>

I did a Google search out of curiosity, and while it didn't show any place to actually buy the machines, I did find a Reddit thread where someone had mentioned seeing a D&B purchase order for a machine, and they are bought outright. Which would back up my earlier thoughts in this thread about DDR A using just standard eAmuse in the US (and EU) instead of the eAmusement participation system (which is essentially a lease, as I understand it) that Asian regions use.

New song for KAC Group B (here's hoping that it's not shitty like Be a Hero!):

And new songs on the 21st:

Oh, I didn't notice that.
Well then I guess I'm more optimistic that Reach The Sky, Without you won't sound like shit since nc ft. NRGFactory never disappoints
append:
New Tokimeki Idol songs on the 28th:

How many girls are in this game? Because Konami is lauching songs for each one of them.
Besides that, there's a lot of new content announced for DDR, even if i'm only interested in the nc song
