Heya all.
I realized that All the BGMs (Select Play Style, Results, Select Music) are made by DJ TOTTO.
I can't get them, meaning I have to decompile to get the audio.
Anyone have the link for this?

The lack of a SPARK FESTIVAL this year was a bad sign, and the fact that there have been so many licenses removed over the years with nothing else being added to replace them was also not great. Butterfly going, too... it might be joever soon.

They're opening a Round 1 near my house in a couple months, and I hope they at least get a Dancerush cabinet so if it gets cancelled, it will be offline with all songs unlocked. 🤞

The Round 1 at Gurnee that opened doesn’t even have a DanceRush machine. With all this talk of the game not getting much updates…

Being in Canada, I have never been able to play Dance Rush Stardom. I was hoping that D&B would pick up that game, but not only has this never happened, but D&B didn't install the DDR A3 or World updates. I don't want to have to travel to the USA just to play these games, and I'd like to see more arcades gain the ability to purchase them.
This year, several songs were added, but several were removed. Removing covers of "Butterfly" in both Dance Rush and DDR makes no sense, and it comes across as a budget cut. There are many nice Konami original songs in both games, but having more licenses (preferably permanent ones) could help bring more variety and new players. At least "Happy Synthesizer" is staying around.
It may be time to release a second Dance Rush game. Stardom is over 6½ years old at this point, so a refresh and wider release would be much welcome.

Yeah, it really does seem like the game is on life support at this point. No 2024 Spark Festival, very few new additions...looking over the Remywiki page, there was a total of ~20 new songs added in all of 2024, and the majority of them were just crossovers from other Bemani games. Only *five* of them were new, the rest were Bemani crossovers.
Only a matter of time before it reaches Reflec Beat status of being kept online but with no new content.
Also still wondering what the hell happened that we were never able to get STANDARD MODE over here in the US. I know Deluxe was canned because of COPPA law shenanigans, but why not let us have Standard? DDR gets Premium mode, IIDX lightning model gets PFree, SDVX valkyrie gets PFree...the very least Konami could do is allow US dancerush cabs to access Standard mode, even if it costs 2 credits. There's tons of content locked behind EXTRA STAGE that is just completely inaccessible over here unless you pay someone in Asia to unlock it for you.
EDIT 3/22/26
No U region either. The gold cab at the local Round1 was swapped over to U region to match all the other U region cabs (IIDX, SDVX, Dancearound, etc) but DRS is still on J region, and thus still restricted to Light mode.

And no songs were added in 2025. This could be the end of Dancerush as we may well know it.

We just need to see if there are KAC again or not, that's the indicator if the game will be dead or not. Like what Konmai did to reflec and museca (and now, also nostalgia)

The fate of the series has already been decided ages ago.
- No new versions to keep the game fresh
- Barely to no new or any updates
- No one really plays anymore, I always see this game empty at Round 1
- Touch pads in a sad state of repair constantly
The game died years ago. Also Konami stopped hosting it at KAC years ago also, so that should tell you something. Konami's just keeping it around for whatever reason, but safe to say the game is over and stuck in a limbo state for now. There's no waiting and seeing anymore. It's over.
Also they are never bringing back Konami Arcade Championships which has been fully retired. It's been replaced by the Bemani Pro League series which is essentially the same thing and has been going on 5 years now, and only hosts 3 games: DDR, beatmania IIDX and SDVX. Dancerush really requires no advanced skill really to play, and will never appear in the BPL
It's time to give up hope that this game is ever coming back to it glory days and move on

Yeah honestly my biggest gripe with the game (other than being restricted to LIGHT mode) is the pads are so finnicky and almost never want to work properly. The one at my local round1 used to work well enough to get EXCs but now, even getting a full combo is nearly impossible with how much it misfires.
It was kind of worrying when the game received zero software/version updates over the years, and with no new songs being added in over a year, it does look like konmai is just going the Reflec Beat route of silently letting the game die. Wonder how long it'll be before the servers go down.

The pads were probably the biggest Achilles heel of the machine. I remember hordes of people gathering around the machine wanting to play when it was fully functional before suddenly becoming a ghost town with credits left on by the poor fella who discovered the pads were misfiring making the game unplayable.
A good chunk of arcades in New Zealand used to carry it as their go to step game (especially for new or renovated Timezones) but now a grand total of 1 arcade as of writing has a cab which unsurprisingly has quite shakey tracking on the pads.
Still in awe the game even released in a small country (hell we even had 1 credit standard and premium) let alone 1 cab survives to this day with how dead the game is.

And to add proof, is that there are few cabinets in the UK. Eventually it will come to a time where no one plays it anymore. And at some point in the future it's rarity will increase because in tens of years time there will be like one cabinet in the entire world. And at that point it will disappear off the face of the earth.
