ACTIVATION
I guess I don't personally like spins, but it was technically fine outside of my opinion.
Definitely at least an 8, despite the low notecount. The rhythms can be kinda tricky and the patterns add to the difficulty as well. Overall, it was a pretty cool chart.
Big Daddy of The Rhythm
Actually a pretty nice chart (save two or three doublesteps)
Not perfect, but I think it's still a pretty good effort. When you actually play it on pad, it doesn't seem as repetitive. Some parts with left-facing or right facing syndrome, but otherwise not bad.
Made in Heaven
Personally didn't like the spins much. They were overused IMO.
This is pretty nice. I liked the intentionally placed doublesteps. They made sense and added a little something interesting.
Retoruto ni kareinaru
Chart's pretty fun to pad play!
Actually ended up being harder to play than I expected, haha. Maybe it's just my soft pad, or my timing window for mines (because I think that's separate from normal arrows), but I kept triggering the mines XD. Good chart!
Shadows
The chart's definitely not an 8. Other than that underrating, it was good!
This is the only chart I didn't get to fully enjoy on pad (I was not warmed up enough to try passing this). Looking at the chart on its own, it's very technically sound (as I would expect).
Shinx
I think you went overboard with the crossover patterns in this chart... otherwise, very well made.
Well, you totally went all out on those footswitches. They're somewhat fun to play, but I think it was overused. Theoretically a nice chart overall!
STARDUST DISTANCIA
Nice job!
Good effort, though there are various rhythmical errors (which other people have mentioned already).

Big Daddy Of The Rhythm: There were two doublesteps on Heavy (b135 and 168.5) (and one part that went LDR and then an LR jump where you have to spin back to the facing forward position quickly, see b76-78.5) but they weren't that bad, they were slow enough to do (still annoying, though). But the bigger problem is the chart faced to the left a big too much and some of the rhythm choices seemed very confusing (the beginning is an offender of this, for instance).
Standard fared no better in the patterning department, but at least the rhythm choices were fairly reasonable here.
Made in Heaven: The patterning got a little awkward sometimes in Heavy, but overall it was nice. Interesting idea to use unmarked UDDU footswitches near the end...
I thought some of the spins in Standard were awkward. It was a solid chart otherwise though.
Retoruto ~ kareinaru-ai ~: The Heavy chart had very good flow, made it seem like I knew the song for a good while even though this is my first time hearing it. Tasteful use of shock arrows too!
I really enjoyed both of the Standard and Challenge charts too, don't have anything to complain about with them.
Shadows: Dang, such intense steps for a quiet song. O.o
In general it was a good file, but I saw some missed opportunities for half-time segments. But more particularly, I think Challenge pushed the limits of the song a bit too much. It just didn't feel all the way right, even though it's technically accurate. But then again this song would've been a bit of a nightmare for me to step, sooo...
Oh, and to the song submitter, you could've shortened the ending. It felt like it carried on for a bit too long.
Shinx: I have nothing to complain about here. The heavy chart fits the song very well! The side footswitches were fine, not sure why Gameoson didn't like them. I personally would've made them up/down footswitches but to each their own, I guess.
Perhaps Standard could've used mines to mark the "WHOO!"s (like at b) but that's a really minor nitpick. It's a good chart too.
STARDUST DISTANCIA: Heavy was... weird. Not necessarily bad, but confusing. Some parts were alright but others like b124-127 and 177.333-179 were downright confusing and I wasn't able to get into any flow. The 24th jack was a bit extreme for this difficulty and I'm pretty sure b185.833 is supposed to be a flat 4th note. Not a fan of this chart.
Standard was better, but I feel like you focused a bit too much on background rhythms and this also made playing it a little disorienting. Still, enough of an attempt was made.
Sugar Free: Heavy's really good. I feel like there's a doublestep around b188 but it's not really a big problem. The doublesteps in Standard actually kind of added to it and I enjoyed it too, although I feel like the jumps during b192-208 could've followed the different syllables of the singers a bit more (e.g. DL-DU-DL-DU-DL-DR-DL-DR for 192-199).
Good job with challenge! The gallops during the chorus were pretty fun.

I'm okay with side-footswitches, but mixing in jumps with the side-footswitches actually made things a bit awkward IMO.
I didn't say I didn't like the other footswitches that weren't mixed with jumps.

Personally I didn't think the transition from single note to jump during certain footswitches flowed all that well. When it was just consecutive single notes, it was totally fine.

Candy ravers or not it's an admittedly cute idea for graphics.
Color scheme's kind of dull for a song as hyper as Uh-Oh, though.

Just because I didn't post my file last night, like I usually do, doesn't mean I didn't finish my file for Round J...
This file features a custom ZIP with BG animations again
Apparently this song was already in the infamous StepMania pack "FoonMix"... though the version I got to step is an alternate cut of the song, it seems! (*´╰╯`๓)♬
Anyway...the girl in the graphics is from a video game and anime series called "IdolM@ster". Her name is apparently "Kisaragi Chihaya" (Chihaya Kisaragi?), and the reason why I chose her to appear in the graphics was because one of the only results that came up when I looked up the song was this video of her dancing to it.
So, now I shall forever associate the song with Kisaragi Chihaya (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)
Now, about the charts, this one was exponentially easier to step for me than 星屑ディスタンシア. ゚+。:.゚ヽ(*´∀`)ノ゚.:。+゚ So, I feel as if the charts are definitely better than those of 星屑ディスタンシア's. I hope that you agree! о(ж>▽<)y ☆

Feraligatr...I thought you sent in Shinx and you got to step your own song
Anyway, I think I know EXACTLY who sent my song in, and I'm not going to not step it.

I also see some patterns: 5l1n65h07 getting BEMANI songs (Hidamari Days which I know is from Umaru-chan but I'm calling it BEMANI because it was in Jubeat, Uh-Oh, now Chu Chu Tonight) and SupremeX getting teen pop radio songs (Whistle, and now Can't Stop The Feeling!)

I actually had a FEELING that Cuzco would send in Shinx to be honest. There was something awfully familiar about that song name and Cuzco was the first one to come to mind. Also about Shadows, shorten the ending how exactly? I can't really just fade it out because that seems boring for me at least, and hardly anybody does fadeouts in music. Just saying.

Yep, I threw Shinx in as a curveball to throw off people that immediately deduce what songs Feraligatr sends in. XD Some of you may know (probably not, though) but Shinx happens to be my favorite Pokémon, and I was quite lucky when I found an actually cool song that followed the format Feraligatr uses. I found it even more hilarious that it ended up being he himself that gets the song.
(And yep, this way I knew Magikarp Festival was his actual submission.)
Missed the submission window for Round K... whoops. I guess it's a good time to take a break from simfile making, I'll be back for the last round though!

Likewise, as stated earlier I will return for the last round. I'm sure most first round entries in this new Battle Royale thing will already have been partially stepped by the time it begins, so just a tip, Round L would be great practice for the later rounds...
