REFLEC BEAT plus / + (iOS)

So a bit late to the update....

How does the new unlock system (with the little limes) work? And what does it mean when there's a WARNING message before the song with Pastel-kun?

For the unlock system, you earn what are called "lime points" (I think) after each song you play. Most of the time, you'll earn about 4 or 5 for each song cleared, but passing a song on each difficulty for the first time will earn you an extra 10 points. You can spend points you earn on gameplay frames, explosions, and stuff like that in the customize menu (look for the little pink button in the upper right-hand corner).

In terms of Pastel-kun's appearance, there's a random chance he'll show up before you play a song, but from what I've seen, this only happens on Hard difficulty. When he does appear, clearing the song and beating the CPU player will net you an extra 20 lime points.

Also, as an aside, I've had evil Pastel-kun show up before, but only once. This seemed to increase the CPU's player level significantly, so much so that it felt as if the CPU was set to level 10. I lost that round though, so I've got no idea how many extra lime points you would earn if you managed to win.

Beating regular Pastel Kun is worth 10 extra points.
Black Pastel Kun is worth 20.
Difficulty doesn't matter, I just got one on Basic.

So, if you're lucky, you can get 36 lime points in one song.

10 for first play
20 for WIN against Black Pastel Kun
6 for AAA+ Full Combo

Two months later, a new RB+ pack. It's pretty cool to temporarily take the #5 spot on the leaderboard. (It would be #2 if those three scores up top didn't exist. Freaking cheating hackers...)

Lime Set 3 is available on REFLEC BEAT plus.
It has the Red background and frame, the Star explosion, the Qrispy shot sound, and the dj TAKA song select music.

Though I must say, it's getting harder for me to get lime points. I'm on a new iPad mini with retina (best iPad ever) and have only managed to import my scores and original theme unlocks from my old device. None of my unlocked pieces for limelight made it in. It recognizes the scores imported as played songs so I can not get the 15+ lime points for unplaced songs.

Update added today which adds the Present icon to the Music Store. Currently, if you qualify (have all 4 BEMANI apps), you can download Engraved Mark. I was unable to get difficulties, but I'll be able to report tomorrow morning if no one else does first, and I'll of course have retina jackets ready!

Anyways, I have a few opinions about the new REFLEC BEAT plus -limelight- update:

Although, I've also waited a long time for the update, I found myself gawking at the internet connection requirement, but that was fixed in the recent updates. Here's my review:

PROS
-YAY! Finally got the REFLEC BEAT plus -limelight- theme!!
-Interface is pretty, just like in the arcades
-All of the extra features like Customize, Pastel-kun's appearance in songs, new unlockables, etc.

CONS
-Game runs choppy on iPad2/iPad mini running iOS 7.x.x sometimes
-Original REFLEC BEAT theme has lost some of it's dynamic interface/effects
-Lime points are seemingly invisible while using the original REFLEC BEAT theme

Anyways, go download the free Ryu* x Des-ROW song from the 'Present' section of the store (provided your app is up-to-date).

Play all of your new/unplayed songs and charts on limelight so you can get extra lime points as a "first time" play bonus.

How come DDR Pocket Edition isn't required to get Engraved Mark? LOL!

Did anyone also notice the 11 difficulty for the song on Hard on this game?
