DDR X3 VS 2ndMIX (AC) (Japan)

22 songs...watch them all be in DDR II, with 10 being Master Licenses and 20 to 22 songs coming from X2.

THERE IS DDR II FOR Wii EVERYONE. As for DDR X3, wouldn't be surprised to see this list in the AC version as well.

As for me, i feel that Hades D- is not a 17. It should be a 16 imo. It has become one of the easiest 17 now.

Well I'm back from Bermuda and I come to this. I have to say, this test makes me apprehensive about X3. I really hope KONAMI knows why X2 was great, and it was partly because of the great steps. The DDR 2010 songs do not have good steps, and since most of the DDR II songs were stepped at the same time by what appears to be the same team, I do not trust them to have good steps either. We need Challenge charts, or new steps for these songs.

Come on KONAMI, don't blow it! This is exactly why I was not happy to hear about greater sharing between CS and AC; CS has pretty bad steps lately, and mediocre music. I'll be interested to see the steps of anything not from the CS realm, hopefully they kept the X2 step team on board (and really, they should re-write the CS charts anyway).

What do Japanese players think of the charts? Especially Wicked Plastik, CRAZY LOVE, and Haunted Rhapsody? The harder stuff from CS is usually a trainwreck.

I just want to jump in before this becomes a general consensus, and mention how much I love Crazy Love's Maniac chart. It's my favorite boss song.

Thiiiiiiiiiiiiiis this this this this this. I think a lot of jun's boss songs get flak for no real reason. I liked Silver Dream and Kimono Princess, and Crazy Love just continue the "I LIKE THIS" tradition.
But yeah, I gotta agree with Wolves, there is a lot of shit coming out of DDR 2010, but if what U1 said on his Facebook page is right and there's going to be some X2 on II, at least half of it would be pretty decent.

I really liked Top The Charts, as well. I can't wait to play that on an AC game.

Everyone who's worried about X3 and II cross-pollinating, I would wager a guess that it's going to be a case of X3 songs appearing in II and not II songs appearing in X3 (to use an expression). Two mixes in a row now we've have iffy CS songs appear in the latest arcade and seen them redone and brought (more or less) up to quality standards. Why would that suddenly stop happening? I think the only difference here is that these new songs are going to the console and the arcade at the same time instead of seeing a delay.

The "vs 2nd Mix" thing could also mean that as well as testing the software and charts for DDR X3, the purpose of the location test is also to field-test the charts for DDR II, and that those charts won't ultimately have anything to do with X3?

I'm noticing that officialy, the upcoming AC game is always referred to as "DDR X3", and the location test itself is referred to as "DDR X3 vs ???".

I still think there's some "2nd Mix" gimmick that we haven't seen so far, though. It would be pretty cool if it was tied into the Extra Stage system somehow, with "retro" boss songs, and maybe a cute little 2nd Mix interface for the extra stages, like a couple of the IIDX games have done.

My guess is it is a teaser, and that in further location testing we will see some dancemania revivals.

I thought so at first, but it looks like the "VS. 2nd Mix" tag is there to stay. Not only does it appear on the marquee, but also in game.

Gross. It looks just plain unprofessional, I sincerely hope it is erased or at the very least no longer a black empty logo by the time the game is released.

I adore how it's blacked out on the in-game graphics just like the physical marquee.

I don't think 2ndMIX is just for this one location test. They did say that some of the new features weren't ready for testing just yet... We'll see in the next set of locations.

The weird thing is that by far the most popular song in DDR 2nd Mix was If You Were Here, and they've already given us the fanservice Remix that we all wanted. No matter what remixes they throw at us now, it'll pale in comparison to that.

If they were going to do this as a serious gimmick, why didn't they do it last year, when they had a game called "DDR X2", which was the 12th game in the DDR series, and was released on the 10th aniversary of DDR 2nd Mix? o.O

All evolved must be on X3. Tokyo , Osaka and New York evolved.

All of them must be have version D.

New York evolved better have version D for balancing with version A that have 380 BPM while version B & C don't have.

Too bad if those evolved songs not appear completely.

I know the vs 2nd mix thing is gonna be here to stay ... this is not very appealing for AC community ... well whatever i hope they have a great songlist, nice BGA's and good charts.
