I highly doubt a license is a 10 footer, only possible way it could be that is if it was on a DDR X type of interface...

I'm genuinely curious for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions to see what they've done to it.
It's not surprising the PS2 one is X-like and the Wii one is HP2-like; damn KONAMI for not showing us the next-gen versions.

the 360 has a tendency to switch around the interface, but it's not a long reach to say that it'll be similar to the Universe3 interface.

Depends on the TV, Mine will have no worries whatsoever since it can display lag free IIDX

first thing i want to say to everyone is about the interface. just because the PS2 is modified X and wii is modified HP2 right now doesnt mean anything. i'm sure these are VERY early builds right now. odds are they are just throwing the new songs in the old interface since its going to use the same engine as previous games. remember the EXUS screen shots with the green EXAC interface(and sweet sweet love magic)? remember HP1 using the mario mix engine with feezes frankensteined in there? i doubt these are the final product, and if its really the same for all systems odds are they will all see the same interface in the final build.

If they want to release in Q4 2009, these are not early builds.The examples you give were never playable. The EXTREME US one was from pre-Beta screens shown in January, and the HOTTEST PARTY ones were also never in a playable build (though they did get a video out of it; stages were finished, character motions were there, just needed interface tweaks).
And now arbitrary rating:
Ice Ice Baby: who cares, classic but I don't feel it's suitable for DDR
Dream On Dreamer: could grow on me, not instantly memorable
Daft Punk Is Playing At My House: boring
Closer: hey, this is good
Disturbia: excellent choice
Overall, I'm glad we're back to licenses from artists with clout. Dance music + name recognition can go a long way in selling a game, and these songs were pretty popular for a reason. Good selections, even those I don't like, I appreciate the effort.
