So, as of now, the game is selling a bit less than HP1 did.

Yeah, the two songs they have are INFERNO and Vem brincar, and they are very similar to each other.

I'm surprised that this one is selling less than HP1. I personally think that HP2 is a lot better than the first and is totally worth it.

Pie, Vgchartz is really not a reliable source for game sales.

However, in the long run, this game will do better than HP1. The Wii is in full swing now, so prepare to see massive legs for this game down the road.

I'lll help out with increasing the HP2 being sold, just give me a few more weeks, my parents are mad that I bought a PSP, and now they said that I should wait until Christmas, but I'll go get it when they go back up north, I think the song list looks great, alot better than the orignals imo. now if only if we got Candy (UFO Mix) and Love Shine on this one, then this one would so sell so much more. Thats the only reason why I bought the first HP.

wait before I go pick this game up, is there online available for this game, or is it just like the first HP, because I would so wanna challenge so many of you (not that I would win )

But good news! DDR sales are up by about 10,000 this year!

i think one of the reason HP1 had so many sales was because the last DDR on the Nintendo systems was Mario Mix which was kind of focused on people playing for the first time. i'm still not sure if i should get HP2 though. one of the thing that's pulling me to buying it is that new DJ Taka song that and the fact i heard it unlocks HP1 (now why can't they do that with the PS2 series?)

"Desert Journey" is a remix of "Freeway Shuffle", or sounds like it at least. Still good and unique, more unique than the paranoia remixes.
And yes, it unlocks HP1. So handy. I too wish they did that for PS2. To make up for it, if there's another PS2 DDR, it should unlock every previous PS2 DDR.

The Japanese PS2 DDRs actually do that. (in fact, Party Collection can unlock Max, Max2, and Extreme).

but it would be better if they let us put songs from past games in the next ddr

I believe it unlocks SuperNOVA JP.

It's strange that you mention that because you would think that by doing so it would hurt the sales of the DDR game in which the song is being pulled from but DDRMAX - EXTREME2 shows otherwise.

Then you would think that it's reasonable to bring back some songs because they were on the PS1, but then you have Bad Routine and i feel...(period)

Now if you're referring to backwards compatibility like what Rock Band is doing...forget it. Konami isn't smart enough to do that.

Unlocking songs is trivial in HP2. If the hardest you have to do is get an A on a 8 or so.
