Dead or Alive isn't "infuriatingly difficult" but Ninja Gaiden is. I've only played Ninja Gaiden once a few years ago while at a friend's house and just got really irritated with it.

Fuck you, DOA4 is, especially the final boss.

Never played DOA4. It turned to Boobs > gameplay.

All you need to know is that the computer knows everything you'll do before you do it, the final boss is made of teleport, air combo, and RAEGKWIT, and that all the ninjas are God-tier.

Jinpachi is a cunt on Tekken 5. There is no other way to describe him. Even on Easy he's bloody tricky.

Just go apeshit. Too many of his attacks are unblockable and/or stun you.

Foot stomp? Stun.
Fireball? Unblockable.
Grab? Unblockable, stuns, AND heals Jinpachi.

Fuck that, just attack him. Better yet, if you're a Christie/Eddy player, stick to the Negativa position. Jinpachi rarely ever bothers with his stomp stun when you're lying down, and the other attacks completely miss you.

Sadly I'm more of a Yoshimitsu player. Yes, I was attracted by the fact that he's got a sword, and I've learnt far too many of his moves to change to someone else. That said, it's not like I've not beat him, it's just that he's an utter bastard to play against.

I primarily play as Christie and Law...or rather, I used to play as Law before Namco decided that being an average character was too good for him and nerfed him. I don't have any end-all, be-all Law strategies for Jinpachi, but I can usually get at least one Perfect on him with Christie.


I still want to get more of those achievements, including the ones for actually beating Story Mode with everyone...but GODDAMMIT! I REALLY don't want to play that game.

Other than Yoshimitsu, I normally pick Hwoarang or Kazuya, but I'm not as good with them.

For Jinpachi, I just try and luck out with a sword stab. That's the only time I'd use a proper sword stab, because it's far too overpowered. I like to trick live players with a sword stab windmill though.
