Konami expecting players to Perfect Full Combo a boss song right after a really hard new challenge chart for Max Period, that no one's even fully seen yet? Yeah DEFINITELY too hard! They need to loosen this to either a plain full combo or just a hard guage that never refills like they did with Fascination MAXX back in SuperNOVA.

It's not hard; just time (& money) consuming. And given the attention & buckarooskis they're getting from people who wanna pass OTP, I see no reason why they'd change anything. People seem to forget that Konami is a business. A business out to gain a profit.

Honestly I think Konami wants this to be ruthlessly hard. If it was like a normal OMES, we would have seen the chart by now and no one would likely talking about it anymore. It's something to keep the best players busy for awhile and it's something to keep on watch. It's better than having someone pass it and then we don't talk about anything new for the game for the next 3 months. Look at the last few pages in this thread trying to crack the timing of OTP. If this so happens to be the final DDR game, then what better mountain to climb than this?

I do think over time if people still can't pass it even after having the light chart. I can see them just having normal OMES rules or you get only get room to have one great and nothing more. What I hope happens is we'll get a few people who are very close to beating it and it becomes a race to see who can be the first to conquer OTP.

If they loosened the conditions to FC, it would be passed it no time. Its a 12 for gosh sake. People would be able to use lower speed mods to read the 200 BPM (possibly 400 BPM) sections and they wouldn't have to worry about timing the slow intro. Once someone is able to PFC the intro on a slower speed mod, they will be able to advance much farther. That may take a while, but it is certainly possible.

"Attack Perfect Full Combo" with 4 life bars would be better than 1 life bar.

Something fair at this point would be to have 4 lives, but a Great takes away 1 and anything worse than a Great takes away all of them. Maintains the EES feel but allows up to 3 Greats. Heck, bring back the SN2/X system and give more lives the better your AA is on Max.(period) Extra Stage. This would also effectively discourage the use of Wave to get to OT"P" with a higher speed mod (as creative and amazing as that is).

The part immediately after the stop sounds like The Legend of MAX. Maybe the song is a montage of MAX(X) songs.

That is insane. With that many 16th bursts, it honestly feels like something that the ITG team would've made.

I'd compare it to something like Charlene.
