It sounds more like Tag took the 210bpm end of London Evolved B, scaled it back to 170bpm and made a typical song of his out of it.
I think they would have the chart scroll at 340 bpm. But even that's wrong, since I measured it as being a little faster than that. I clocked it around 345 by synching the audio clip provided in that video with an online metronome.

That's actually really inaccurate.
There's also a red star you can get for clearing a chart equal to or above a given level set by your My Groove Radar title. It starts at 6 for the lowest title, and increases by one for each title up to 20 for the highest title. And, once per day, you can get a dark blue Daily Star.
Additionally, to progress to Extra Stage, you need to have above 39 points in your 9 stars, where dark blue stars are worth 8, white and green 5, yellow 4, blue 3, and red 0.
Once you're actually at Extra Stage, which chart difficulties you can play is determined by the number of stages and the difficulties of the charts you played. On SP,
is always accessible, and your difficulties need to add up to Stages*6+1 or more to play
, Stages*10+1 or more for
, and Stages*13+1 or more for
. DP is the same, but
is always available because of the lack of
.

Wait what I think I recall playing 10s and 11s (3 stages) and still got TRIP MACHINE EVOLUTION

I don't think difficulty total number matters, and I don't think there's a point system in the star system, cuz I've seen people with 9 blue stars get to ES.
(Checked BEMANIwiki, it says only the number of stars matter)
The total difficulty stuff was only on X and X2 (not RDA). X3 doesn't have it.

Does any of this apply if the machine isn't connected to e-Amusement?

Still applies. You get no Daily star or red star though, so if you only have 3 stages, you have to AA FC or AAA every stage to get to the ES (which is Amalgamation).

Wow, Extra Stage requirements are getting harder every game. I remember from DDR X where people would play NGO
Cut1 JumpsOff and then DEGRS Cut1 JumpsOff (getting two Ds), followed by AAing a Random song on Expert in order to easily meet the difficulty requirements for Trigger.

Here you can AA FC/AAA 3 beginner songs and still get EXTRA STAGE. You can even play Amalgamation

Well, our machine is set to 5 songs / play, so... easiest Extra Stage system to date I believe.

tokyoEVOLVED(TYPE3)'s double play.

Some questions I had earlier that didn't get answered:
Quote: Zowayix
For the Evolved songs, can each of the 3 versions be selected individually now?
Is it still possible to select a random version on regular stage?
Is it still possible to select a random version on Extra Stage?
Is London Evolved
still restricted to Quick Play mode?
For Tohoku Evolved
and
, I'm interested to see how they've stepped out the 680bpm beginning, 680 bpm middle, and 1020bpm end.
Also, has it been confirmed that the last jump on all Standard charts and above can truly be any one of the four corner jumps? There's not too many Tohoku Evolved pass videos out there, so there isn't solid proof of the exact possibilities for the last jump.

for the question Dr.D answered 'idk', no.
EVOLVED songs are not on EXTRA STAGE anymore. EXTRA STAGE is Tohoku EVOLVED.

What happens if you AA Tohoku Evolved
on Extra Stage? Do you get EES?
If not, then does that mean that Love is the Power -Re:born- is the only possible EES song now?

So you can AA any of Tohoku, PRevo, or TMEvo on
to get LitPR
for EES (which must be PFC'd)?

The total difficulty stuff was only on X and X2 (not RDA). X3 doesn't have it.
First of all, the star point and difficulty restrictions was already removed along with the unlock of SILVER DREAM.
Those restrictions - while applied - was for deciding which song will show up in the extra stage.
Let's take the time period of Jan. 25, 2012 to Apr. 25, 2012 for example:
During that period, you have to reach Amalgamation through ES, and UNBELIEVABLE in EES.
(You can get to ES with 9 stars of any kind, and all difficulties for Amalgamation will be available.)
However, if you meet the following requirements, UNBELIEVABLE will join Amalgamation as a select-able ES song:
1. The total points of your stars were high (39+) or low (18- ) enough,
2. While all difficulties for Amalgamation were available, select-able difficulties for UNBELIEVABLE were determined by summing up the difficulties from the previous stages (this was similar to KIMONO PRINCESS in X2 AC).
For EES, you get UNBELIEVABLE through Amalgamation, and NEPHILIM DELTA if you unlocked UNBELIEVABLE

Is there e-Amusement in Singapore? Am considering getting my own pass if ever I'm visiting.
