I wonder what 2MB could do with Shiny World.
Bad, bad things.
That song is perfect as is. We don't need a 100-200-400 BPM switch-it-up clusterfuck like Fascination or Pluto Relinquish to make it "better".

Shiny World is good but opinionz

2MB doesn't "clusterfuck" anything. He doesn't make the chart or set the bpm, he just remixes it. As far as I remember, none of his remixes had any change in bpm from the original except Pluto Relinquish which ran on a fixed 100 bpm and if it did, it at least ran on the original bpm for most of the song before he slowed it down/sped it up.

We can always use a 2MB remix of Shiny World.

I don't think of 2MB songs as being "100 - 200 - 400 clusterfucks" at all, just faster and "darker" than the originals.

La Senorita Virtual and Healing Vision Angelic Mix are fucking amazing. Go back and play La Senorita Virtual next time you're near a 4th Mix Plus machine. It still feels like a really solid boss song, in the same way Max 300 still feels solid. I think all the 2MB songs have stood the test of time really well. Healing Vision and Orion feel old and to me now, but the 2MB remixes are still fun as hell.

I think the only song that might have been written with a speed or step gimmick in mind was Max.period, where the whole point of the song was a final "thank you" / "fuck you" to fans, depending on who you believe. Still, it's a fantastic song, and outside of the 30 seconds of gimmick, it sounds like a better version of Max 300.

Conclusion
U1-Asami is awesome, and The Island Song (Urban Death Mix) will prove that.

i was beginning to think i was the only one that knew this. U1 makes bad ass remixes (and max.(period)) under the 2MB alias, dont let horrible charts ruin the songs.

besides, FELM expert is one of the best charts on SN1. so say what you will about BPM changes, but some times they work quite well.

It's true, I wish 2MB would resurface. Perhaps X and X2 are like MAX and MAX2, where we didn't get any 2MB. Tongue He really 'breaks' the songs and makes them feel so sinister. La Senorita Virtual is one of the most drastic transformations, and it works so well. You know, since U1 is full-time on the Wii versions now, it's a little surprising we don't see 2MB boss songs on there; they certainly make more sense than forced jun boss songs. Oh well. Smile

Oh fuck yes. Although it gets overlooked for FAXX because it's easier, it seems.

You've got that right. Still can't pass FAXX for crap, yet I can almost AA FELM expert now. I honestly thought the chart was stepped better, too. The only thing FAXX really has that's fun is the first speed up, the part in the middle where it stops and slows down, and the sets of 5 eight note drills near the end.

I believe this was my mantra for the first year at z-i-v. I need to play FELM Expert in the arcade since the home setup does no justice for it.

Also: 2MB fanboy.

True. At the same time, it's not easy for keyboards set to any language other than Spanish to be able to type "Ñ" or "ñ". I had to use the Character Map to insert those two in.
