The DLC is not on-disc.
Well, that was an "if", but I'm pretty sure he still wouldn't have trouble downloading them on a bad (according to NeoRevenG) connection.

"ARR JOO LEADY??" |
Although I missed the interesting versions discussion back on page 280, I was plugging back through my PS2 versions library (PS3's really IS inferior, especially in the stepcharting department in most cases, although I understand the reason they made it so easy: Club Mode's "Tricks" and Octo-Mode charts)... and it really occurred to me that 90% of the versions' criticisms simply came from title issues.
Pop in DDRMAX 2 - and imagine that it had been referred to as "DDRMAX," instead. EXTREME as "DDRMAX 2," EXTREME 2 as "EXTREME," and so forth. Rather than having half a tracklist being "backwards" each mix, you'd basically have half the tracklist in the mix before it - even DDR X was mostly appreciated for it's SuperNOVA 2 content, in spite of being about the closest thing to a direct arcade port we've ever gotten (all that was really missing was a handful of Bemani-crossover gems and the j-pop licenses, really - we even got all of the boss songs in it!). Most of the mix quality was psychological in nature, like that... although it took awhile for X2 (PS2) to fill in a couple of gaps, although it's totally unfair to compare that with it's arcade counterpart (X2 AC = more Universe 3 than that!) - and I still can't believe they totally omitted MAX. (period) and PARANOiA -Respect- there.
X2 (PS2) and PS3/360 DDR were really the only lackluster titles of the bunch; and PS3/360 *can* potentially be saved via DLC inclusions. Although personally, I'm surprised that neither EXTREME nor EXTREME 2 got any DLC associated with them yet, or any of the Ultramix/Universe series at all... hopefully that'll change pretty soon, once PlayStation Store is back up, though... that video featuring Cosmic Hammer is a good sign!![Big Grin](../emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif)
Now, I just hope they learn how to stepchart again... PS3/360's licenses show that they know how, in spurts - look at the first 15% of Bad Romance or the last 20% of According To You - I'm guessing somebody was *ordered* to nerf those
charts and they were revised accordingly. ![Sad](../emoticons/icon_sad.gif)

I thought that X2 US was fairly well received. An improvement from X.

X2 US just confused me with its repeats practically all starting with the same letter, its lone Oni remix, L'amour et la liberte being there instead of its remix, and all those X-specials. The game wasn't bad, it just felt really... unorganized.

well I finally got DDR 2010 for the 360 and for the last 2 days (yesterday and today) so far i have unlocked 5 songs via the Club Mode, seeing its the only way to unlock songs in this game. I feel that the Club Mode is IMO easier than some of the other similar modes from previous mixes.
I'm sad that this version doesn't have the record option, unless it gets unlocked later on in the game.
I've only DL'ed the free premium pack that has the full versions of Let's Get Away, dreaming can make a wish come true and Private Eye, all I need is 2400ms pts to DL the rest, I agree that they need more DLC from other DDR mixes.
The licensed songs are good, hey I'm in my late 20s and I grew up listening to these songs.
And thats my 2 cents.

bm: Go to Video Manager, and enable recording. Then go to any song in Free Play mode that isn't licensed. (It won't record Club Mode, regardless.)

Also, keep playing in Club Mode with 20 songs non-stop, since that would easily prevent the TRICK LV from getting nasty. Also, keep using the Groove Trigger. Also, they kept all the hard songs at the far end of the unlocks, maybe they gave those songs (the default songlist) to casual players, and all the hard stuff for hardcore players

Nightime: where would I find this Video Manager? cause it's not on my 360 system or in the game. I honestly think when they ported this game over to the 360 this option was removed. I've noticed that the PS3 has a longer video intro than the 360, in the PS3 version you get to see NM in the intro but not in the 360 version.

In the game, it's supposed to be in main menu. There's the Video Manager, and enable the Record thingie in the Options, IIRC. I recorded a video of New York EVOLVED that way.

I don't see what I'm looking for. This leads me to 2 possibilites.
1) This option was removed when Konami ported the PS3 version to the XBOX 360.
2) This option is unlockable by playing Club Mode. Seeing that you unlock everything else from here.

Probably removed from the 360 version. Such a shame because that was the ONLY selling point for me.

It would be nice if Konami could find a way to put it as DLC somehow... Not that it'll ever happen but in my opinion, it's still a great game all around.

Moreso thinking along the lines of an update patch than a DLC.
sorry to bump this.
Just want to announce that I have 7 more unlocks remaining. The most recent unlock is Afronova.

How do you have any unlocks left? I unlocked everything within the first day or two. Pretty much all I have left is maxing out all that Club Mode bullshit.

what i can i say I'm a slow player and remember I got the game long after it was released, beside methiks you set the # of song to maximum and went from there in order for you to get it done in a day or so.

That's correct, because if I'm going to play a set where the game decides what difficulty I play and often doesn't give me Expert until Stage 3, I'm playing a little more than four songs per set.

I haven't been able to play this in a while (the XBOX situation in my house is messed up). I did, however, unlock about five songs the first few days.

I unlocked the whole stuff in quite a short gameplay time. Just set the song play number to max, there goes the gauge.
And the last unlocks were stuff like DOUBLE TORNARD, CRAZY♥LOVE, MAX 300, New York EVOLVED.
