I believe that if you're playing a course (CLASS or EXPERT mode) and the meter dips under 20% or so, you take even less damage from misses/bads. Would definitely explain the many cases of narrowly skidding though the ends of songs with single-digit groove gauge remaining.

Hard groove gauge takes off 10% for a miss, and 6% (I think?) for a Bad or excess Poor.
EX Hard groove gauge takes off 18% for a miss, and 10% for a Bad/excess Poor.

Hard/Course meter will decrease at a lower rate upon dropping under 20%. This condition does not exist for EX Hard, drop a note at 18% (or less), BOOM.

Hazard groove gauge uses the same color as EX Hard (or before Lincle, the same color as Hard), and I think carries the same penalty as Hard for excess Poors, but break combo once and you're gone. But you get 4 stages (in AC) regardless of pass/fail.

Huh, is this a marketing campaign for a new kors k S2TB album? I'm interested.

Well, the songs were licensed by Konami in the album credits, so it was a given they'd make it into a game. I miss the days where they used to promo songs for every album release... or just release albums.

I'd been wondering if secret courses would ever come back, since in the last two games, secret courses were added alongside the Expert mode itself.

I do miss it when Konami released albums. Not so much album songs put in IIDX, though, since they always chose the "safest" songs to bring over, as opposed to the more interesting ones (Akira Yamaoka's MOON remix would've been fun with Pitch shifting).

That's another thing I miss from those days : the remix albums that came with it! The Ryu* and kors k remixes were usually amazing! I'm still hoping for waxing and wanding (kors k remix) to show up in a game.

So we have two really good new songs here. Cyber True Color seems to bring some good upbeat future bass vibes, while Venom blends L.E.D's and kors k's styles well. (Took a second viewing for me to really appreciate it, the keysounding feels uncomfortable in certain parts, but that's just me...)

I'd like to know if/when this album is released. I'd love to see what else they have on it.

Well, SINOBUZ already included the best pop'n music crossover song ever made, so including one of the worst pop'n songs ever made sounds like fair play at this point.

Well it's about damn time that Vermilion got added to IIDX.
