The closest was SuperNOVA, at 69 songs.
is Konami Europe trying to hold some record at trying to stay under 70 songs? seriously Dancing Stage SN2 looks pathetic when compared to the SN2 JP CS!i also happened to notice this: Every US CS we get is always making up for the last CS by putting most/all of the songs we missed from that previous CS.
Also I think one of the reasons why US CS's come first is because they get to find the flaws and then improved them for the CS's for Japan and Europe
best example: DDR X's annoying announcer
another example is the Cleared doors. In the SN2 US CS they close and people cheer as soon as the door closing sound plays. but in the arcade and JP CS (i'm pretty sure Europe too), people cheer and then the door closes after. that shows one of the improvements they made to the SN2 layout after US CS was released
edit: The good thing is DS SuperNOVA CS got 69 songs only because there was only 10 licensed songs compared to DDR SuperNOVA US CS's 20 licensed songs (hence the 10 song difference)

Which, IMHO, makes us Americans the test dummies. They give us the flawed product, iron out the bugs, then sell the improved stuff to the Japanese and European market. Sometimes I wonder why is it that Europeans get the short end of the stick, at least in terms of songlist (besides licensing issues).best example: DDR X's annoying announcer

(On a side note, is Alice in the game?)

Europe CS. The US one only had two unlockable characters.

I fixed the back of the box:

Hard to see but I even fixed the word 'customise'. How's that for a 5 minute job Konami?
I think all they did was replace ANGELUS with Cara Mia...

It's worse than that. A lot of the licenses (And Then We Kiss, Can't Stop the Rain, Got to Be Real, He Said She Said, etc.) are missing.

Because Europe has never heard of Cascada, a German dance group, and High School Musical was never released here so they wouldn't have a clue who Ashley Tisdale is... right?
At this rate I expect the next US release to have Basshunter and ours to have even more US licences or something equally random. Who the heck is Klayton (Celldweller) anyway, or DJ Micro and Beatdrop for that matter as well? How are Europeans supposed to recognise these 'well known' songs?

Beatdrop was a winner of the Broadjam contest, along with Sanxion7. He's a well-ish-known member of Overclocked Remix.
Also, I think DS Unleashed 2 and 3 had around 72 songs, excluding unlocks.
BUMPER CARS
GAME's DSSN2 Page
"Sorry, out of stock. Try again later."
There are two things I can suggest:
1) There's actually people buying this (in which case, I'm shocked and appalled.) Unlikely, considering Dancing Stage games will never run out of stock in the first few weeks, would they?
2) It didn't come out in the first place, and Konami decided to cancel it just before release.
To be honest, I want it to be No.2. If they can't do a proper release, they shouldn't do one at all.
EDIT: Every place I've looked, it's "out of stock". It's No.2.

Awesome, I guess this puts Cara Mia in a fairly unique position. Originally appeared on a game that was cancelled moments before release.

Pssh.
Xavious and Al MADE Dancing Stage SN2 with Xavious's Cara Mia lyrics and video in addition to the simfile that Al made. Can't forget silverdragon754 for the BG either.
That took what?... 5 days?
In any case, the promotional copies of DS SN2 are going to go up in price because of rarity... that is, if there are people that want Cara Mia that bad.

This now must mean that Konami will made DDR X EU extra special (100+ songs, please), or I will lose faith in humanity, and won't like Konami's pockets with my money for CS versions again.
At least now I won't feel guilty playing the SN2 sims on Steppy.

No idea who has through deliveries but I know al2k4 has got his copy, and as Ryosuke said it's been spotted (and probably purchased) in GAME stores!
False alarm? Well, it's certainly not being done now. Was this Konami's idea of a late April Fool's joke?Quote: tovus, from DDREvolved today
Looks like they have taken the advice that many of you have said previously, and they have no officially cancelled the game! Just had an email from Game.co.uk saying the game is no longer going to be produced!
You couldn't have made it up if you tried.Post #555 · Posted at 2008-11-05 05:08:51am 16.7 years ago

That might be it and your other question should be obvious.

Then again, Al and ATomik apparently have a copy so I don't know.

well it's believable it's not out yet cause there is only 2 videos of Dancing Stage SN2 on YouTube. I find that suspicious. Also i heard that there are promotional copies of DS SN2.
Ebay seems to have copies of DS SN2 but even with that proof, I'm still confused
. Since I do live in Europe, it's kinda hard to check the local stores!

Ive seen it in many stores still, its just a horrible release, everythings gone completely wrong with it, konami completely dropped the ball on this one and didnt even TRY to give us more than 1 song, if they did there would be proof in the master songlist, no extra songs whatsoever.
to be honest i just have 6 questions
1) Why did they spend a year translating a game into 5 languages when they've been capable of doing this in days before
2) Why did they spend a year adding just ONE license and removing the only ones that would have been vaguely popular over here
3) Why are people blaming sony for the fact we only got one new license when again if they wanted more licenses we would have seen proof
4) Why remove information mode and just do a find replace in the instruction booklet, older mixes even had the same typos as US counterparts!
5) Why have they slapped a full price tag on this when the games a complete half arsed attempt through and through.
6) Who wants to be we get the same fiasco over DDR X ;)

I saw the bundle of DSSN2 last week on Media Markt. The price of SN2 were around 40€ per bundle, and the price for the DSMax/Fusion bundles were atleast 10€ more expensive. I even saw a couple chosing DSMax before SN2 because they thought that the game hade more appealing liscenses. I decided long ago not to get SN2 myself and I'm looking forward to a better future release. I think Konami Europe's reason for making us wait this long is because they want to keep about a year between the games' release dates, but they seem to fall quite a bit after everytime. IIRC DSMax got released around christmas some year, then 1½ year later DSSN1 came (summertime). And lastly 1½ later after that SN2 comes (fall). I mean, if they keep this speed up, we'll be getting "DSX" around christmas next year, and I certainly wouldn't want that to become true, but ofcourse I wouldn't be surprised if it actually did happen. Afterall I'll be just as happy when we will get our DDRX AC over here in January, Konami did somehow promised our local arcade to have it over by then.

Actually, if you're all members of DDR Community, I think it's time to stick it to the Man.
