Yes, I will try to add all of the features that the arcade version has, the idea is to recreate it accurately, I will have some time soon to continue drawing and studying some codings to complete the missing things.

Two quick questions for anyone using this theme: 1) Is there a good way to simulate the 3D dancer backgrounds seen in the arcade? And 2) does this theme implement the glowing bars around songs with particularly high scores? In the arcade, I think it's when you full combo or AA a song, you can see it on Afronova here: http://www.the13thgeek.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/DDR-A-songselect.jpg

Regarding characters, you could record footage from a recent CS release (ie DDR X or X2) but it'd take time to record all the characters (unless you want to use only one).
Regarding the glowing bars, I know trav358's version of the theme supports them but they're glitched (they glow only when all the difficulties of a song have been cleared). They don't work the same way they do on the AC version.

If you also must repair the error of the battery according to how much you put out with one less. example the battery in 4 comes out with 3. the encore extra stage comes out with 0 and input faults you can not play or play because of that error

Are you sure that we are talking of this theme and not the trav358 theme? Wich SM5 version are you using? As far as I can remember lifes are working

-Update lifebar coding
-Update result screen grades
-Update some US graphics
-Fix ready/go timmings
-Update ready/go anims
-Fix profile save
-Fix score frame
-Update japanese gameover overlay
-Add theme version (provisional)
They aren't listed in some kind of order, I will attack them randomly

Well, SM5 hasn't been ported to consoles. SM4.0 CVS has been ported to the original Xbox, and I honestly want someone to work on an SM4.0 CVS version of the DDR A theme so I can incorporate it in a future Xbox game running on the StepMania engine.

I've tried to make my ddr1st theme compatible with SM4, a lot of time ago but a lot things are incompatible and some others are different, that requires a lot of time to study SM4 and refactor the coding, is like doing the theme again, and I;m out of time, but:
You could give a try, I haven't tested it out in SM4 to check how much broken it is.

The original Xbox isn’t powerful enough to run a potential SM4 version of this theme (if that can be done). I don’t know, in all honesty, why one would use StepManiaX in 2017: the Xbox was a pretty weak PC when it was new and the 15 or so years since then haven’t helped it much.

Well, I am doing some unofficial console (not PC) ports of DDR games in form of ITG hacks and unique StepMania engine games. The engine used by PS2 in the groove makes custom themes harder to develop for, aside from sound, texture and script hacks.
Also, SM5 hasn't been ported to other systems yet. 3.9 was almost ported to the Wii, but you are most likely to run into exception errors after the first few seconds of booting it up.
