Um...why is that video marked as "made for kids"!?
Probably to just disable comments

Pretty sure enabling/disabling comments has nothing to do with marking the video as for kids or not.

Marking a video as for kids automatically disables comments.

Strange...now it's marked as "not made for kids".
Which is the correct option for this video since it's a general audience video. Anyway, that means all regular functionality is back (except for comments, which were disabled by the uploader).

It's a slightly different mix that Naoki provided under that alias. We name tracks based on what the artists instruct us to, but yes, quite similar.
It has a lot of Supernova 2-era feeling to it, and I'm a fan.

First time I've seen this game remove songs, but it was bound to happen, eventually. >>

I really hate the internet age of arcade gaming. Imagine finding a 7th Mix machine but A Minute, Baby Love Me, Look At Us, So Fabulous So Fierce, Nothing Gonna Stop, More Than I Needed To Know, Stay, The Whistle Song, and Trance De Janero were removed (and Demon Road, Nearly=130 as well). Being able to add songs as the game goes on is great right up until it isn’t. Unless they re-license the songs you’re just never going to be able to play them again, but the old games will be 100% intact every time.

It's a drag to lose out on songs, but AFAIK most of these songs are being dropped purely because nobody's playing them. I would say Konami should take the hint, but the day they remove shit like I'M GONNA GET YOU and SO IN LOVE is the day I perish.

Apparently it's a combination of them being some of the least played songs in the whole game and the licensing fees not being worth it.

First of all, I don’t appreciate this So In Love slander.Second, it’s a little different with originals owned by the company making the game and licenses. But still, for those looking to get scores on removed songs removing them from the game prevents that. Removing songs from sequels is one thing but for there to end up being no machines out there that have the songs kinda sucks. It would be like needing to PFC Flash In The Night and Bye Bye Baby Balloon but they’ve been removed from all 6th Mix machines. It’s fine that those songs aren’t on 7th Mix but they should be on every 6th Mix machine. And DDRA has this same flaw, although there are some offline machines out there that don’t get any online functions at all but they seem to be even more rare than DDRA is in general.
And maybe those aren’t the best examples because people liked playing those. But eventually songs people like will be removed.

Yeah, spot on! These were some of the absolutely least played songs. Fans/players have also been...very....very vocal about these songs specifically not exactly being theirs... "favorites". Lots of factors at play.I hate seeing songs removed as well, like there were some heated discussions about this, but these are really the only ones that we can see having issues (sans potentially two others) due to licensing and other complications for a long while. Popular and fan favorites, as well as ones requested to stay either via polls or feedback will alway see an attempt at a renewal, if the license even requests it.
Just cleaning up some of the lower-hanging fruit to make way for more great stuff in the future!

This makes it sound like the limit for the game is 300 and they can't go past that for some reason. Likely wrong on this.
Correct, it's MUCH higher. Just was pointing out how many are in the game right now.Like said earlier, lots of factors for these unfortunately, and things like this will be very, very, very rare.

Would requesting the videos of the charts be out of place? I kinda don't have any kind of way to play SMX but would love to see the charts preserved for future StepMania-like simulation.
On another note, as I assume LightingXCE you are from the dev team - are you guys looking for simfile artists? Or maybe even considering making some kind of events that would allow some guest charts to get into the game?

I've got a handful on my channel - Looking in the Playlists section. Working on backfilling the older content.
