Interesting Little Things in DDR

So I have been doing it wrong. So I do the LDR and the LUR while facing to the left.

Because I do the LDR facing to the right and the LUR facing to the left. I've been twisting myself for no reason (I can't even do it on the 50 bpm less speed of DDR).


I don't. It's pretty understandable that the DDR team of old didn't have a lot of inspiration while creating the backgrounds.

Serious question about the video here.

Anyone notice his right leg is a LOT bigger than the other? Because I've had the same thing happen to me while playing ddr. Where one leg seems to be a lot stronger/bigger than the other. Anyone else have this happen to them? And again not trying to be mean or anything. I'm honestly just wondering about this.

Yet the old graphics seem to have a lot more personality than newer graphics.

Actually, that Hero background seems to be "inspired" by the Flash Gordon logo, so I wouldn't say they lacked inspiration, they lacked originality, but not inspiration. The older backgrounds seemed to fit the theme of the songs, where as the backgrounds now seem more abstract.

Sometimes people have one leg that's more dominant then the other. My boyfriend has that problem, which is kind of holding him back from getting through basic level on DDR. I always tell him to use both feet whenever we play.

Thought it was interesting that J-Mi and Midi D, the duo that made Top the Charts, have gone under the names Cusimo & Co, Melody & Mezzo, SMiLE.dk , Captain.T.

ALSO, I noticed that the vocals in the background of Dice Master Mode on DDR X2 and We Got 2 Know from PIU Fiesta EX share the same lyrics. I've been DYING to know where they actually come from.

Captain.T is Thomas Howard

SMiLE.dk is a Swedish female duo

Correct me if I'm wrong, but other than collaborating with Naoki they are unrelated to the rest of the groups you mentioned.

Actually I asked them if they've done anything for DDR previously and they responded with this:

We've done "Cusimo & Co. / Melody & Mezzo / SMiLE.dk / Captain.T / and now J-Mi & Midi-D"

We do have new stuff coming out, like our first J-Mi & Midi-D album, and a new single... we probably are doing new things for DDR as well, we're just waiting for confirmation !

Are they related to Diskowarp?

APPEND: I really liked their works as Cusimo & Co. Hope they have more songs in the later mixes.

As mentioned, Jamie Thompson (J-Mi) & Dick Örnå (Midi-D) are "Cusimo & Co"... but they were also the producers for Smile.DK stuff (dunno if they still are or not).

I have a spinal condition called Scholiosis, which has started to destroy the muscles and nerves in my left leg, so it always looks that way. It's just really obvious in that video, because I was filming and editing it in a hurry for someone on ZIV ^^;

And I think I remember that condition too. My spine isn't 100% straight too and I remember having to take that test in middle school.
