Whoa, where did that come from? I was trying to find it on the official site but did not see anything (most likely looking in the wrong place).

Anyway, looks like the announcement can be interpreted in two ways: either the conditions are easier in that orbs can be collected on (feels like the more likely interpretation), or that the conditions are easier in multiple ways with the orb requirements being only one of these. If the former, then that's not much of a change at all unless it also applies to Egoism 440 and perhaps Max.(period), as those are technically orbs as well (the ones that appear in the center). The other Extra Stages are easy to AA for most players who would be able to survive the Extra and Encore Stages.

As a side note, didn't something similar happen with Valkyrie dimension? The six medals used to require playing Pierce the Sky, Sakura Sunrise, Shiny World, Anti-Matter, New Decade, and Possession on , but the update allowed the medals to be gained on and as well. Valkyrie was still locked to though. But the more troubling part of that update was that it simultaneously banned Freezes Off, Jumps Off, and Cut for Valkyrie Encore, perhaps in response to the presumably-unintended fact that Sakura Sunrise was AA'able on Cut2 which allowed Valkyrie dimension to be played on Cut2. Now it's already known that Cut is banned for Over The "Period" Encore, but I'm guessing playing it on speeds above 1x was unintended in a similar way, given what precedes it and the specific fact that the speed mod buttons are disabled at the start of the stage. If Konami does the same thing and locks Over The "Period" to 1x...

Thanks! Judging by the video which only shows the first five banners, it looks like it's not going to apply to Egoism 440 or Max.(period) then.

turns out you can get orb for EGOISM 440 on Difficult, which leads to EES, MAX. (period) on difficult. let's see how it'll be for the ones in phase 2.

The more likely trend is that we can get the phase 2 6th orb from ES MAX.(period) on , so that the EES will require a PFC on Over The "Period" instead. It won't be long until someone finally clears the song if that's the case.

Welp, I stand corrected. Did not expect this at all, but if the relaxed requirements indeed carry over to Phase 2, particularly the final Extra and Encore stages, then that would be very good news. It's approaching midnight EDT where I am; here's hoping something interesting appears when I wake up.

To be fair, reading and getting continuous Perfects on anything at 32.5 BPM (and slower!) is going to be an exercise in frustration.

Given that Max.(period) on the original Encore Stage has been successfully cheated through, I wonder if it would be feasible to get through the Max.(period) Extra Stage on 2x with the same cheat method(s), allowing at least a slightly faster speed mod on OT"P" without having to perform the difficult 2-player cooperation trick.
Edit: Referring to the methods of printing or even memorizing the ending and/or syncing the chart to an external video. Blind mashing works for Encore but won't work here since you won't get the AA.

Looking forward to a video of the chart, if there is one.

(On a side note, that score bounds the step+freeze count between 428 and 431, since the last place value is always truncated/rounded down.)
