Aeron...can you not.
Also, I kinda dig the design so people can graffiti it.
Perfect spot, imo.

I also don't know why so many people think this game will get an American release. Its a lease only e-amuse required game. Konami would have to figure out a way to get past the e-amusement issue on hand, and probably just sell the game if they were to bring it over. This is what I think would happen...
-no e-amuse support
-buy kits only
-every year offer a update for the game that costs almost as much as a upgrade kit
-upgrades for older generations of cabinets, no new cabinets.
I still can't see it being brought over, although I still hope it does.

There are plenty of versions of games that konami has released in different countries that lack the e-amuse function that the original, japanese release has. They either just run on manual updates or don't get the updates applied at all.

Twitter user SS has spotted this poster for the DanceDanceRevolution. It should be noted that this poster seems to have been made by an arcade and not by Konami, so all of this information should be treated as rumor.

As you can see, the poster shows three licensed songs.
オリオンをなぞる / UNISON SQUARE GARDEN
ウッーウッーウマウマ(゚∀゚) (Speedcake Remix) / Caramell
マジLOVE1000% / (ST☆RISH)
With the last song presumably being a cover.
The poster also contains an alleged song addition schedule

As you can see, the poster alleges 10 song additions every two months with boss songs added every six months.

That would be sweet if it turns out to be true. Boss songs every six months pretty much brings DDR back to the old 2-mixes-a-year release cycle.

The moment I found out that Caramelldancing (Speedycake Remix) is 1 of the 3 licenses, I realize how overplayed that 1 song will be.

Orion the Tiger and Bunny song...?
Haaa, Maji Love made it in from DanceEvolution... that one's a cover, too, right?
The cabinet is pretty but definitely leaning toward cute and girly. Doubt it'll turn off super veteran players, but I definitely thought the black machines looked more... hardcore? Dunno. But it depends on how cute and friendly the interface is, too.
Meh, since when was DDR a cutesy game...? Maybe this is just the way Japan rolls... after all, this is never leaving Asia.

I think the cabinet looks more minimalistic than cutesy. I don't have any problem with the design at all.
Not that it matters, since I'll probably never be able to play this game.

Though I have to admit it will probably be a fun chart

In all seriousness, I was really hoping the new DDR wouldn't get this. Though I have to agree with King Mew, it's probably gonna have some fun charts. I just wish they would pick more unique "internet" songs rather than the ones we've all heard a thousand times. Oh well, at least the nice folks in japan can enjoy it :)

Oh please don't give Konami any ideas on this one. We could be having Nyan Nyan Cat as a song if they were to take that suggestion.

It almost sounds like when people complain about American licenses. :P They're in the game for a reason: whatever gets people to play it. Just rejoice that Gangnam was never popular in Japan. :P
I wish they'd add some good Vocaloid in DDR, but I lost track of the rankings and forgot what was good. Although if the kors k Vocaloid song makes it on there ohhhhhh can we please have that? ;_; I guess it was a big collab, though, and they would need more than just his right to the song. Also, for some ridiculous reason, it never made it to the top weekly ranking spot...

Good to know that SVB gives you the opportunity to make Nyan Cat sound 1000% better
on topic, that addition schedule (assuming it does, in fact, work that way for sure) is rather well made, especially the 10 songs every 2 months. Again, that's assuming konami actually sticks to that.

They were previously putting out over 70 AC songs and around 30 CS songs every year, so they're actually cutting way back in terms of production.
Even if they ground completely to a halt, they have that gargantuan list of songs from DDR Classroom Edition to fall back on.
