So I got a new keyboard (not that anybody cares.) and decided to try playing SM on it. I'm satisfied with my results so far.
Judge 8, Lifebar 6 (gives me an excuse to play weaker charts, while having challenging scoring.)
Keep in mind that Judge 8 has 67% STRICTER timing than Judge 4.
The only song I FC'd today with <sub 50 Greats.

For some reason, the first jump, I kept getting a great on. I don't know why. So I relied on visual timing and managed to glide through it.

So i've continued to dip my toes (actually fingers) into Justice Timing, and i'm pretty satisfied with the results. Here are a few results from playing DDR A songs.
A whopping 27 combo!! I'm impressed.
How the fuck did I pull this one off?
I tried out a new keyboard which uses Blue Mechanical Switches, (not Cherry MX) (if you don't know what that is, Google it.) but I don't know if having a mech keyboard has any advantages over a "traditional" membrane switch for a game like Stepmania.
The point is that I can pass songs on Justice now.
Yay me.
In case you're wondering, I did modify some of CS6's theme files to make it look more vibrant on my display. My monitor doesn't exactly have the best color reproduction.

So I've been playing DDR songs on Stepmania a lot (haven't been recording much because sorry), but something amazing happened recently; in one day I managed to pass THREE 18 footers, on camera no less.
If you're wondering, I got a 'C' on all three passes. I know I *can* improve it, but I don't really care, just the wonderful thrill of the passes was enough for me. That, and a better score does not motivate me enough to try the stupid runs again; I've failed enough times, thanks. Also, I shout a bit. Sorry, I was really excited!

I wanted to give it fair chance, because it couldn't possibly be that bad, right? In fact, it wasn't. It, uh, was actually worse.
I am partially convinced that DEGRS was created with the purposeful intent of being terrible; because that is the only justification I can think of for 80% of the things this chart does. I'm certain that somewhere there's a chart maker out there laughing at the idea that people would ever take this chart seriously.

Nice thing about this chart is that the one doublestep (during the chorus) can be avoided in a strange way, and also there's only one so it's very easy to identify.
